Otherwise many boat tour companies offer travelers day trips to Luštica Peninsula, which is just opposite Herceg Novi. Beaches here are spectacular -- check out Mirište or Žanjic Beach.
One of Herceg Novi's greatest tourist attractions is undoubtedly its pretty Stari Grad (old town), which features a castle originally built in the fourteenth century by a Bosnian king Forte Mare. It's the centrepiece of the Stari Grad.
