Bitola is situated in the Southwest of Macedonia, about twenty kilometers from the Greek border. Bitola has a number of museums, mosques, churches, parks, and bazaars to explore, as well as being near several national parks, including Galicica National Park, Lake Ohrid, and Lake Prespa. During winter there are also a number of ski resorts in the area; outside of winter there are many hiking trails.
