Weymouth is a coastal town in the county of Dorset in the South West of England, United Kingdom. Known as a holiday resort town, with many museums, restaurants, traditional British pubs (public houses), a marine park, old harbour, old forts, piers, and -- of course -- the seafront. Enjoy some traditional British seaside food, such as fish and chips, while walking along the seafront -- just keep an eye out for those sea gulls, as they have been known to steal food from the unsuspecting tourist!

There are a few hostels in Weymouth, as well as bed and breakfasts, hotels, resorts, and caravan parks. Most Weymouth hostels are located in old Georgian-style buildings, with high ceilings, wooden floors, and steep staircases. Weymouth hostels usually include a complimentary breakfast, which includes tea or coffee. If the hostel doesn't include breakfast, then a fully equipped communal kitchen is usually available. Some hostels have free car parking available, however if driving it is recommended confirming this at time of booking as alternative parking is usually expensive, and sometimes can be quite far away from the hostel. Hostels in Weymouth are usually clean, comfortable, and affordable. Prices do tend to increase during the peak season (June through August), so if you're traveling during these months, book in advance to get the best deals and to ensure availability for your stay.

Weymouth is also a good place to base yourself for sailing trips. Many people sail over to Isle of Portland for the day or weekend. There are also regular ferries that operate to Jersey and Guernsey.
