This area is quite exquisite. The mountains in the region seem climb forever into the vast abyss of space. The are many goodies to be found in this environment but be careful of the stinging, man-eating arachnids that swarm every nook and cranny.
Triabunna is a small, coastal town on the east coast of Tasmania, Australia. Triabunna is located right in the middle of two of the biggest attractions in Tasmania -– Coles Bay and Hobart (both amazing places), which makes it a perfect place to make a quick stopover to spend a night. Besides that, Triabunna is also the best place if you want to visit Maria Island National Park, as the departure point of the ferry is in Triabunna -– tickets to the ferry and the entrance for the national park can be booked in the visitor centre of the city.
This is a small city and it doesn't have much life, especially at night -– most of the shops close around 5 p.m., so you will not have a lot of chances to visit a restaurant or a cafe if you arrive after this time. You should buy something to eat before that time as well. During the day, this city gains a new atmosphere with nice restaurants (local seafood is recommended), shops, and tearooms –- perfect to relax during your vacation. You can also have a nice walk on the coast, with beautiful landscapes of the beach.
Just eight kilometers' distance away (or ten minutes' driving distance), there's a seaside town, Orford, with more offers of restaurants and shops that deserve a visit. You can also enjoy Shelly and Spring Beach –- good beaches for swimmers and surfers.
There are not many hostels in Triabunna, so if you really want to stay here, book in advance. The hostels in Triabunna are very simple, but good value. Triabunna's hostels are a nice place for you to meet local people, and know about the well-kept secrets of Tasmania.
