There are lots of dolphins in the water. The place has great surfing and swimming beaches and the aboriginal stories on the walks are very interesting. Take the bikes and go to dolphin point. The weather is nice most of the time.
Situated in the Australian state of New South Wales, Ulladulla is a gorgeous coastal gem. The whole area is a haven for nature lovers, with several national parks being within close proximity. Among the most popular spots are Morton National Park, Murramarang National Park, Meroo National Park, and the South Pacific Headland Reserve. Other natural attractions that are well worth a look are Lake Conjola to the north of Ulladulla and Lake Burrill to the south. At these places, you can find breathtaking views - the scenery from Warden Head Lighthouse is a particular highlight - and various walking and hiking trails that showcase Australia’s natural beauty.
Like most small coastal towns in Australia, Ulladulla’s beaches hold a strong allure for tourists. In Ulladulla and the surrounding areas, there are many beautiful beaches begging to be explored. Here, you can learn to surf, go fishing, whale-watch, swim in the refreshing ocean, learn to dive, or simply indulge in some classic Aussie fish and chips on the sand while admiring the view. One of the most famous beaches in the area is the golden sand that makes up Mollymook Beach.
If you happen to be visiting Ulladulla over the Easter period, the annual Blessing Of The Fleet festival is an experience you cannot miss. This traditional event has been held since 1956 and celebrates the fishing industry that is so important to the town’s economy: It is kept alive thanks to the efforts of descendants from the area’s original Italian immigrant community.
As hostel options are extremely limited in this small coastal town, advance booking is highly recommended if your accommodation budget is more suited to the affordable price of a hostel rather than a luxury hotel. If you want to take a brief break from hostels and get closer to nature without splashing extra cash, camping is also a popular option in Ulladulla.
