Camp Sarchu Heights was the first luxury resort at the altitude of 4100 meters at SARCHU, on the Manali- Leh highway. The CSH was started by Adventure India in the year 1998 and it has replaced small tents of earlier trend with the big Swiss Cottages made of double layer fabric and thick insulation in between to avoid harsh wind of the place.
The CSH offered a cluster of 20 Swiss Cottages, restaurant, kitchen and the best rooms with attached toilets and hot water shower at this altitude.
Before establishing this Camp, Adventure India Group had started a charitable hospital at the same place and it was the first camp which offered free oxygen cylinders to the travelers suffering from AMS and high altitude on this route.
