Nice city hostel
It's a nice city hostel, therefore dont expect a nice garden or big common rooms, but its a good stay and cheap. the rooms have bagpack sized lockers with a key, which is nice. it's located downtown near everything. staff was friendly and helpful. you can take the local bus from the bus terminal (10min), for directions ask the tourist info at the entrance of the terminal.

Great breakfast, cool hostel
We enjoyed our stay with friendly helpful staff. Breakfast was awesome. Our room was large but the bathroom was a bit weird with the toilet behind the shower curtain so water went everywhere. The only real negative was slow wifi that only worked in common areas and not in the room.

HI - Rosario - Santa Fe - La Casona de Don Jaime Hostel is the second and newer of the Case de Don Jaime hostels. It is in a renovated two-story building. It is a first floor walk-up, which makes it friendly to travelers with a lot of luggage -- you won't have to walk up a flight or two of stairs. The Location It is located in the center of Rosario, close to the Cordoba Street peatonal and Orono Boulevard, which are great for walking around. A main bus line coming from the main bus terminal passes right in front of the hostel. The hostel is very conveniently located to grocery stores, restaurants, and bus stops. The bus stop for the bus going to the main bus terminal is on the next block to the south (these are one-way streets). The hostel does not provide parking but there is a parking lot across the street. The area around the hostel contains several colleges and universities and therefore has a significant student population. Rooms and Bathrooms The hostel has both private rooms and dorm rooms. The dorm rooms do not have door locks but has very good sized lockers with keys issued by the front desk (you will have to pay a deposit that you get back when you checkout). The dorm rooms have eight bunk-type beds. There are two shared bathrooms, one for males and the other for females. The female shared bathroom has two toilets and a big shower/toilet combo. The male shared bathroom has four toilets and two showers. The hostel provides towels that are hanging on hooks right outside the shower stalls. There are no hooks inside the shower stalls but one has a soap holder. There is also a wood bench right outside the shower stall area. Common Spaces The hostel has very ample common spaces. There is a TV room right by the front desk with a fireplace. There is also a bar area with an L-shaped couch along the wall adjacent to the TV room. Both rooms have flat screen TVs. There are two patios, one right outside the male and female dorm rooms and the other right outside the kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is typical and has the basic appliances/utensils. The dining area has four rectangular tables with bench seats while the patio has a round table with metal chairs. The hostel has four internet connected computers, two on the first floor and two upstairs by the private rooms. The PCs upstairs are newer and have flat-screen monitors. The hostel is pretty social and organizes activities and events each day and nights out several times a week. There is a huge calendar of events on the wall right across the from desk -- this is updated constantly and it is easy to meet other backpackers this way. However, it is not a party hostel, even though it has the nicely appointed bar up front. Summary The dorm prices are lower than the other hostels in Rosario and as a Hostelling International hostel, it provides further discounts to HI members. Overall, it is one of the best -- if not the best -- price-to-quality choices in Rosario.
