Quite noisy but absolutely great!
Couldnt believe this place -- little out of town but perfect for the airport with free shuttle bus to the airport, free breakfast, private bathroom -- they even do dinners for a charge. It's within a short walk to 2 great restaurants and great outdoor space. It's clean and friendly and very very reasonable. Highly recommended.
This hostel is very convenient if you go to Perugia by car. It's immediately out of the highway. Staff were friendly and the price very reasonable. 17 Euro each for a double room (we have been accommodated in a 6 six bed dormitories left for us only). It's not in the center of Perugia and we duly suggest you to leave your car at the hostel car park and go to the center of Perugia by the numerous public buses as it's more relaxing as you will have a big hassle looking for a paying car park. Beds were medium comfortable and breakfast as well was not too bad or good.
Lovely stay in a beautiful town!!!
Beautiful city, great staff, quiet, funny a good stay!!!
This hostel is very clean. The staff are nice, helpful and friendly. I found the public transport very good all day long (there's a bus every ten minutes to the city center) and it's a lovely walk of 15 minutes to the main train station. The hostel is in the middle of a green public park, and the night is very quiet. I found it excellent!
The train station is more than 1 Km away! This hostel is literally in the middle of nowhere, so we never really got to see Perugia. To be fair, the accommodation is spot on and the staff are helpful and friendly. My only piece of advice is do not go to the restaraunt next door because they are ignorant.
This hostel is acceptable. It is on the outskirts of Perugia, but right on a bus line that takes you to the center of town and goes by the train station on the way, so its location is okay. Be sure and check the hours the buses stop running if you are planning to be out late. The lockout seems to be fairly flexible. The dinners are terrible, don't waste your money. Some of the lockers work and some don't.
The hostel is not central though well connected with both the city centre and train station by mini metro and bus. We were given a big private room with double bed and bunker bed too! Very spacious and clean, quiet, perfect to rest after a day out. Staff is nice and helpful. Breakfast included is decent/enough to get you going. Only minus: reception is sometimes closed, you
have to look for the staff around the hostel to access it and take the key. Other than that, best deal in town!
Liked: location, staff Didn't like: no kitchen, wi-fi didn't work well
Good service in low price
I really liked staying here.It was close enough to everthing, even the bus stop was outside the entrance.
The setting was tranquil and the breakfast which was a real added bonus was great.
The staff were really helpful for travelling possibilities and sight seeing polite.
I used Ostello Perugia as a base to see Assissi and Gubbio, all well worth the trip.
They had a good sense of humour.
I would definitely recommend Ostello Perugia and would stay there again. Well done to you Ostello Perugia for making my stay in Perugia delightful.
Liked: Friendly, helpful staff. Tasty breakfast. Piping hot showers. Didn't like: -
Liked: Breakfast was really good especially yogurt. Bed and showerbox were also clean. Didn't like: Somebody who cannot speak English kept talking to me in Italian. So I was disturbed little bit.
Liked: good clean good breakfast, silence, very polite staff Didn't like: some minor fixings should be required, nothing to worry about
Liked: The breakfast was a buffet of crossaints, cake, coffee and juice. The rooms were big and clean, the building itself was nice. Didn't like: The directions and map on the website are useless and there are absolutely no signs anywhere for the hostel, even outside the hostel there is only a sign for a youth hostel, it doesnt even say the name, and its also covered by a tree. We drove around for over an hour and a half trying to find the place and by the time we finally found it it was too late to go out and see Perugia. The internet "wasnt working" the whole time we were there so i asked the woman in reception to phone the next hostel we were going to to check the address and she looked it up on the computer behind the counter! So they obviously had internet but wouldnt let the guests use it., even though its advertised as part of their facilites. Finally the communal kitchen wasnt very clean, it was badly equipped, they had random things like deep fat fryers and a food processor but not a single knife, chopping board or tin opener. only 2 out of the 4 rings worked. There was only enough room for 1 person to cook at a time.
They don't speak too much english.....
Liked: It had a lovely garden and was very easy to get to by mini-metro. The free pick up by the airport bus was the best thing! The room was lovely and quiet. Didn't like: Kitchen staff quite surly and despite being in the middle of the summer, the bar was not open in the evening. It was not the friendliest hostel I have ever stayed in.
Liked: heating system is good and the staff there are very good.breakfast is prepared by staff even if we got up very early (before 6 am) to catch a train. Thanks a lot. Didn't like: I lived there in a multi-shared room with other 7 guys. to my surprise, there was no lift to connect the upper bed. finally, some staff found two wooden lifts for lodgers. the other thing is that not every lodger has the key to the room. so during the night, around 2am or 3am, 2 guys had to knock the door to get in. the noise wakes me twice.
Liked: Location. Didn't like: Not really a hostel, more of a school camp / large group accomidation.
the rooms and bathrooms are clean, the garden its very nice, and the service its really good.
one of the best hostel we had in whole Italy, probaly the best! and very clean!
very quiet hostel
For this price the hostel is very good. Personnel - excellent.
This hostel is beautiful and the staff are so friendly and helpful! GREAT value.
Few minutes from the minimetro station. In 10min you reach the city centre.
The hostel is outside the city center, but you easily can take the minimetro to the center or the station. Around the hostel is a small park, where you can relax after a long day in town. The staff is friendly. Every room has its own bathroom. I have only two points to mention: you shouldn't expect a big breakfast. They have only one roll for each person. If you come late you don't get one. It is only sweet breakfast. You don't get cheese or ham. The hostel has a own kitchen building where you can cook your own meals, but it is dirty. Please clean the kitchen from time to time.
But all in all it was great to stay there and I want to come back.
nice hostel, mansion style, in the middle of nowhere. nothing is included, even internet etc. costs lots of money
