Thobeka Backpackers Lodge, Kwangwanase

• Directions From N2 (Hluhluwe/Richardsbay
• Take Hluhluwe exit, go through the town and turn left at the roundabout signposted Sodwana. + - 3 km turn right over the railway line signposted Sodwana and Mbazwana. R22 At Mbazwana follow signs to Kwangwanase R22. At Kwangwanase (Mangusi) continue through town passing Total garage on left. + - 4 km on bend in the road there are two Thobeka signs with blue writing on yellow indicating a right hand turn on sand track. Thobeka is at the end of sand road, one and half km. Just follow the signs if you are unsure.
• From Swaziland (Pongola):
• Turn left on N2 and take Jozini exit on left hand side. Go through Jozini and on leaving Jozini keep a sharp look out for left hand turn signposted Kosi Bay. Proceed over the Dam wall and continue until you reach a T-junction. Turn right signposted Tembe Elephant reserve and Kwangwanase. Continue to Kwangwanase (Mangusi) Pass through the town, passing Total garage on left. + - 4 km on a bend in the road there are two signs on both sides of the road in blue and yellow indicating a right hand turn on to a sandy track. Thobeka is at the end of the track, one and a half km. Just follow the signs if you are unsure.
• From Johannesburg:
• Take the N17 towards Ermelo. At Ermelo take the N2 towards Piet Retief. Drive through Piet Retief towards Pongola. 53 km out of Ponogla take Jozini exit on left hand side. Go through Jozini and on leaving Jozini keep a sharp look out for left hand turn signposted Kwangwanase. Proceed over the Dam wall and continue until you reach a T-junction.
