Bodhi Santa Catalina Reviews from the Web

Cute hostel. Close to the Main Street and restaurants.

Solid hostel. Not really anything to fault at all apart from wish it was closer to the surf! One of the better hostels I've stayed in for sure. Outstanding pancakes included.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Bodhi. Staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast of pancakes and fruit was delicious, the kitchen was always clean and the snorkeling tour you can book through the hostel was so much fun and well worth the money. Would stay here again!

Great hostel, good kitchen and always super clean. The people working there are also so nice and helpful! One thing would be that there are no sockets in the bedroom (maybe one hidden somewhere but I couldnt find it).

Great hostel! Really friendly staff and an amazing breakfast. The rooms have an AC, which is very nice and compensates the fact that the hostel doesnt have a pool in the hot town of Santa Catalina. Would definitely recomendo going here!

Second time staying in a bodhi after we stayed in the one in Valle Anton the week before. In Anton there were dead bed bugs on the beds so we moved beds and had no other problems all week. After a night in this Bodhi, I woke up with over 100 bites. The owner essentially said it was my fault despite the issue clearly being with that bed (Id had no problems before/since) and was pretty rude when I asked for compensation, despite the fact I was visibly upset in front of staff. Would not recommend Bodhi hostels, overpriced and overrated. You wont meet many people and you wont be looked after.

Extraordinary staff, awesome breakfast, AC. Sad that I only stayed for a night. If youre in Santa Catalina and able to book early, this is the place to go!

Really enjoyed my stay at Bodhi. Its a small hostel so you get familiar with the people and staff - very nice and friendly staff. Delicious pancakes, fruits and coffee for breakfast. Lockers are provided. The 5 peoples dorm is pretty small, so if you can stay in the 6 peoples dorm, its a lot nicer ;) recommendation for the owner: maybe put some better lights in the rooms/bathrooms, you cant see much, especially not in the 5peoples dorm.

I only stayed one night but this night was one of my worst hostel experiences. I got the bed right beneath the ac. During check in I already asked if I could have one of the other free beds but that wasn't possible due to a difficult computer system that couldn't be changed.(Another girl told me she could chose her bed upon arrival.) I asked for a blanket then and was promised one later, twice. Turned out they only have one and that was given to the guy in the other dorm having the same problem.

Staff is nice and location is good. Not really social and there are only a few solo travellers.

Really chill and nice hostel to discover Santa Catalina. Free breakfast is really good and AC in dorm is a plus. $2 amazing smoothies at the fruit shop next door.

The hostel had a good vibe and everyone was friendly. My room (the smallest dorm) had a little moldy smell to it, but apart from that it was a nice stay

Great stay at Bodhi, would definitely stay here again. Everyone was super friendly, delicious free breakfast. Adorable kitty Luna. The private bungalow was very comfortable I stayed for 4 nights. Only thing is the rooms do not lock but they provide lockers for any valuables. Good location walking distance to everything in Santa Catalina! Very chill vibe here, lots of hammocks.

I really loved the vibe of this place. The front porch/hangout area was great. But the beds in the dorm were super loud when anyone moved and not very comfy. Also, there are only two bathrooms for both dorm rooms to share--and one is in the common area so anyone hanging out there or visiting was also using it so it always seemed like there was a line, especially when everyone was trying to get ready in the morning. The lockers also didn't seem to actually be capable of locking.

Nice and big ensuite bathroom, good room (unless you get the bed underneath the AC that also doesn't have a ladder), most beds have curtains (even if they don't cover all sides), beds are comfortable but the ladders are sharp, towels and pancake breakfast included, staff is great and super helpful.

Good hostel with really friendly and helpful staff. Decent kitchen. The 5 bed dorm was a little cramped, the 6 bed looked better.

Loved the atmosphere and location! It's a relatively small hostel so it's very easy to connect and meet new friends. I stayed in the 5 person dorm which was actually not really big enough for 5 persons. Felt a bit claustrophobic. Also the AC is supposed to keep the temperature at a certain level, but it did often feel quite hot. The bathrooms were really nice and spacious and definitely a big plus.

Last point of improvement is communication by staff. Ended up booking my transfers somewhere else

Great hostel, super relaxed and chilled vibe. The staff are super friendly and helpful, especially Pablo. Hostal location is good. Breakfast pancakes are good aswell. The kitchen is always clean, o my one stove top tho so gets a bit chaotic at wasting hours.

The 5 bed dormitory is ridiculously small, only one person can be in the middle space at time. Should be a 4 bed dorm not 5.

Overall really nice hostel!

Really hospitable and friendly staff, who are happy to help with anything you need or want. Warm atmosphere with fre breakfast made for you each morning. Centrally located on the main strip, It's a short walk to the town beach and a 15-20 minute walk to the general surfing beach, but a pretty pleasant walk. Overall very happy and would definitely visit again the only thing is they have limited bathrooms but minus that a great experience!
