The Koala Den is an amazing building in the middle of Potosí (Bolivia). It has three floors without a lift. The hostel has central heating that provides a warm atmosphere. It offers twenty-four-hour reception and guided tours to the mine of Cerro Rico, so it's really comfortable because you don't have to check other tourism agencies.
The Location
The hostel is located five minutes away from the main square of Potosí. The hostel is sited two kilometers from the old transit station (only if you arrive from Uyuni) and six kilometers from the new transit station (if you arrive from other cities). The best option to reach the hostel is take a bus that brings you to the main square and walk to the hostel (five minutes).
Rooms and Bathrooms
The hostel has a good variety of rooms. There are shared rooms of four, six, or eight people, all with bunk beds but one room with four single beds. There are the options of private room with two beds or a double bed and a triple room. All the shared rooms have small lockers (big enough for electronic devices or other valuable stuff) and a wardrobe.
On the ground floor there are two shared rooms with a shared bathroom that has a sink, toilet, and a big shower. The other rooms on the first and second floor have full equipped private bathrooms (shower, toilet, and sink). The showers are powered with a gas heater.
Common Spaces
In the main entrance you can find the reception and different spaces to chill. The common area has sofas in the ground floor, a dining room, a TV room with sofas, and an extensive selection of films, and there's another room with two PC's and two sofas. In the common area, there's a library with travel guides and in the dining room there's a library for exchange books. It has a good Wi-Fi signal. It offers a laundry service and a free luggage storage. It has a big kitchen available for the guests.

Potosí is a really famous destination for backpackers in Bolivia. In The Koala Den, you can meet other people and chill in the different common areas. Moreover, it offers a continental breakfast that is included in the price. Also it gives you a big towel for the shower, which is very unusual in a hostel, so it's a good thing.
