Albergue San Roque is decorated with bright yellow colors, and the host is so friendly and will surely brighten your day with his warm welcome and hospitality!

The Location

The hostel is located in Navia, at the beginning of town if you're walking on the Camino de Santiago. The city center is not too far, and is within walking distance. It's a small and beautiful city, with everything you might need -- public transportation, supermarkets, restaurants, banks, pharmacies, and even bridges and water. We could easily chill out here for a few days. We highly recommend checking the town out!

Rooms and Bathrooms

There is just one large room with bunk beds, but it is well designed and doesn't actually feel that big. There are a few windows and a lot of light. Disposable sheets are provided and there are also warm blankets. In addition, there are personal lockers for each bed, which is very convenient. Each bed also has tiny shelves, which makes it easy to charge your phone during the night.

The bathrooms are shared and are also bright and clean. The showers work great, and there is always hot water and there is also hand soap.

Common Spaces

There are a few dining tables in the kitchen/reception area. The kitchen is great -- it is fully equipped and is kept in great shape. There is even a fridge! You can hang out in this area, and everyday the host likes to talk to the travelers about the next few days on the Camino, go through different route options and give suggestions, which is very sweet and helpful. In general, you'll probably find a lot of useful information and brochures around the room. Also, a little self-service breakfast is included. There is some space to hang out outside in the sun as well and to dry clothes. If necessary, you can ask the host to use the laundry machine and there is also a dryer. And not to forget, there is free Wi-Fi, all over the place.

Summary

This place is very clean and comfortable, the hospitality is very warm and friendly, and we feel right at home. We even like the fresh design of the place and we would love to come back!
