Oasis Hostel Cali is located in barrio San Fernando, one of the main neighborhoods in Cali, with many bars and restaurant options, more oriented toward students and travelers.
As mentioned, it is located in San Fernando, which is about twenty-five minutes by taxi to the bus station. The nightlife area is about ten minutes by taxi and it possible to walk to the other famous barrio, San Antonio, where many hostels are. The historical center is about thirty minutes walking or you can take the bus.
Rooms and Bathrooms
It has six-bed dorms and privates. Dorms have bunks and they are located to the ground or the first floor. Mattresses are large and comfy and the room is quite spacious. Each bed has a plug for electricity. Also, lockers are available in the common area, not in the room, and you need to have your own padlock. Bathrooms are separated between men and women, and toilets are together. There is a bathroom at the first floor and some more at the ground floor. Soap is available but no shampoo. All rooms and bathrooms are maintained well clean.
This hostel has a lounge area at the grind floor, next to the reception, and another one at the first floor. Both areas have sofas and tables, and a big smart TV with Netflix. Wi-Fi connection works well in the hostel, so it is possible to watch movies at high quality. Outside at the first floor there is another lounge area with sun beds and sofas, and there is also a jacuzzi. On the ground floor there are a few hammocks where guests can relax. There is a very spacious common kitchen that guests can use, and there is a free breakfast every morning.
The vibe is very calm, and it is definitely not a party hostel. However it is quite easy to meet and interact with fellow travelers, as the common areas help guests to gather together. Also the free breakfast allows guests to meet with each other. The hostel is always locked outside for security reasons and you need to ring the bell every time.
All in all, it is a nice stay in Cali, fitting for those who want a good sleep but at the same time be able to have some conversation. It's not really good for party people, as the vibe is calm.

Oasis Cali Hostel Reviews from the Web
Stayed for three nights with my partner in a private room, shared bathroom. Hostel is clean, room was very nice, staff are friendly and helpful. Would recommend.
Great stay, highly recommended
It was a great place to stay!
The staff is super friendly and accommodating. It felt like family.
Really cool vibe and its a nice neighbourhood.
I liked the free dance classes, and the teachers.
Great place to stay, everyone working there was so helpful and welcoming. Comfy hammocks to relax in and a good location. It can get hot in the rooms but there are several fans that can be turned on.
Definitely one of the best hostel experiences I've ever had! Big shout out to Jose, and everyone else involved in running this place!
To my salsa teacher Lilo, you are absolutely amazing and I really appreciate you being patient with me!
GOOD PLACE . THE ONLY THIING I DID NOT LIKE WAS THAT THEY DONT ALLOW VISITORS INSIDE THE ROOMS .
Not bad ! ...Very attentive and friendly staff. Cute decor.
Favourite hostel in central/South America so far!!
clean, amazing staff who really make an effort with everyone, social, can bring in your own alcohol
Not enough bathrooms
Really enjoyed my stay here. From the rooftop deck with yoga mats, weights, and a punching bag, to the free dance classes and organized events, it's a very lively hostel. Great vibes all around, a great landing spot in Cali. Great value. Though if you sit outside for more than 4 minutes mosquitoes will eat you alive.
A very relaxing hostel that makes an effort to create opportunities to meet people and experience Cali culture. They keep it clean and it has good security. The one unique thing is that you cook your own eggs for breakfast.
It felt like I was sharing a big renovated house with a bunch of friendly and open minded people who became my family within hours. Amazing rooftop terrace where everyone comes together in the afternoon to enjoy a drink or two before the salsa/bachata class (where usually everybody joined). For the day after plenty spots to chill and enjoy a quiet moment (hangmats, tvs with couches, etc.). Booked 3 nights, ended up staying 10! Stuff is very helpful, they were part of the family. Highly recommend
The best kind of hostel - small and comfy with an awesome family vibe. The staff and volunteers are amazing. Great vibes, felt like home, didnt want to leave.
Loved my stay in Oasis. It has the basic necessities what you expect in a hostel, but the atmosphere makes it a special place. Hosts and staff were very helpful and friendly, and there was lot of socialisation daily with other guests, it was easy to make friends as a solo traveller. Roof terrace was beautiful place to hang out, workout and practice dance moves we learned in free classes. Definitely would recommend this.
Hostel is nice, it has a nice vibe and it is easy to interact with other people, it is located in a quiet area so it is good to have some rest. The downsides, my bed was wet because it was rainy and the ceiling was dripping water and the towels that we had were not so clean.
Great hostel, clean, good breakfast, comfy beds with plugs and fans for each. I did laundry and somebody had put the weight as 5kg but the lady noticed when she gave it to me it was small and it was actually only 1kg so they nearly charged me a lot more! They could do with an extra bathroom or two as theres only 3 for toilet/shower combined and sometimes they were full.
Really great hostel nice atmosphere with loads of cool people in the communal areas with a good vibe. Kitchen was well equipped and the free breakfast buffet was top notch and a good way to fill up for the day. Dorms and bathrooms were nice and clean. Overall great place with good workaway staff who genuinely cared about you having a good trip and plenty of places go chill and enjoy relaxing and only a quick walk to the san antonio neighborhood or other attractions would recommend to anyone.
Pretty good hostel with fun volunteers. Great salsa instructors and group lessons daily. Good kitchen with everything you need. The only cons I would say are that my room needed more fans and the bathrooms always smelled like mildew.
Very cosy hostel. This is more a home which is nice if you need a chill day. People are easy to talk with but not a party hostel. Overall I like it
Our private room had a private patio that was amazing. Such a nice treat of a place right in the middle of all the action. We walked to all the major sites (maybe not for everyone but doable). Lots of people there and maybe a little bit of a party hostel but we went to bed early every night and we were never disturbed. We would definitely stay here again.
The best hostel I've been to in Colombia and one of my favorite ever. The atmosphere created by the staff is truly special. It has the perfect balance of tranquil yet very social. It felt like a home away from home. I ended up extending my stay, and I would've stayed longer if I could. As a solo traveler it was super easy to meet people, every night a group of us would go out to dance (Topa!). The group dance classes are great and I highly recommend the private lessons! Miss everyone already!!!!
