Oasis Hostel Cali is located in barrio San Fernando, one of the main neighborhoods in Cali, with many bars and restaurant options, more oriented toward students and travelers.
The Location
As mentioned, it is located in San Fernando, which is about twenty-five minutes by taxi to the bus station. The nightlife area is about ten minutes by taxi and it possible to walk to the other famous barrio, San Antonio, where many hostels are. The historical center is about thirty minutes walking or you can take the bus.
Rooms and Bathrooms
It has six-bed dorms and privates. Dorms have bunks and they are located to the ground or the first floor. Mattresses are large and comfy and the room is quite spacious. Each bed has a plug for electricity. Also, lockers are available in the common area, not in the room, and you need to have your own padlock. Bathrooms are separated between men and women, and toilets are together. There is a bathroom at the first floor and some more at the ground floor. Soap is available but no shampoo. All rooms and bathrooms are maintained well clean.
Common Spaces
This hostel has a lounge area at the grind floor, next to the reception, and another one at the first floor. Both areas have sofas and tables, and a big smart TV with Netflix. Wi-Fi connection works well in the hostel, so it is possible to watch movies at high quality. Outside at the first floor there is another lounge area with sun beds and sofas, and there is also a jacuzzi. On the ground floor there are a few hammocks where guests can relax. There is a very spacious common kitchen that guests can use, and there is a free breakfast every morning.
The vibe is very calm, and it is definitely not a party hostel. However it is quite easy to meet and interact with fellow travelers, as the common areas help guests to gather together. Also the free breakfast allows guests to meet with each other. The hostel is always locked outside for security reasons and you need to ring the bell every time.
Summary
All in all, it is a nice stay in Cali, fitting for those who want a good sleep but at the same time be able to have some conversation. It's not really good for party people, as the vibe is calm.

Location
• From the airport, a Taxi or Uber will set you back approximately $50.000 - $70.000 Colombian Pesos and depending on traffic roughly 30-60 minutes.
• Coming from the bus terminal a taxi will set you back around $12.000 - $15.000 Colombian Pesos and once again depending on traffic around 15-20 minutes.
• Public transport from the airport, simply catch one of the bus from out the front of the terminal exit to the Cali Terminal del Transporte. Cost is around $7000 COP.
• Catching a bus from the bus terminal to the hostel simply walk out from the terminal to MIO bus stop Avenida las Americanas. Catch the E27 bus and get off at the MIO bus stop Manazana del saber. Cost is only a few thodhand pesos.
