At ocean we have mixed dormitories that sleep a maximum of 14 (though usually theres just a few in each) and rooms that sleep 10 or 6. This is a very Homely hostel with everything centering around the Kitchen as all our guests either eat out or cook their own food.
We have had lots of success in helping larger parties know all the best places to go! Here in our neighbourhood we have Chinese,Indian and traditional scottish restaurants (some of them give discounts to hostel visitors!), very popular bars and even a brand new shopping centre only a 10 min walk away. Access to the castle and Princess street is very easy and there are frequent bus services from right outside the hostel or the manager can call a taxi for you.
We can also book you on tours of the Highlands and Loch Ness or arrange adventure/sightseeing activities in the surrounding areas - Tours are around £30per person and I have NEVER had a complaint yet!
Please allow at least 1 weeks notice to book Tours!
We do not allow anyone under the age of 16 and the hostel is NON-SMOKING anywhere in the building.

• Our Hostel is in Leith - 10 minutes North of the Castle and City Centre.It is very easy to locate!
• By car - Follow signs to Leith from the Ring road, You will pass by a few car showrooms and approach a junction with a statue in the middle, turn left here onto constitution street and drive 100 meters. We are on the left!
• By bus - Take the No16(silverknowes) or 22(Ocean terminal)Both will drop you off at the foot of leith walk or on Constitution Street. We 3 minutes from there.
• Taxi! - is the easiest way for £6 approx. Ask for 55 Constitution street.
