Sgt Pepper's Hostel is a relaxing and friendly hostel in central Jardin. It's a great place from which to base yourself while you explore the town and its surroundings.
The Location
The hostel is located around a seven-minute walk from Jardin's main plaza and social centre. It's very easy to find from the plaza, as it is just down one straight road. The main bus terminal in town is around a five-minute walk away. As Jardin is quite small, everything you need -- including shops, bars, and restaurants -- is in walking distance from the hostel. The hostel is very easy to find when you arrive and the street is quiet and feels safe in the evening.
Rooms and Bathrooms
The rooms in the hostel are of average size with comfortable bunk beds in the dorms. The rooms include a sizable locker in which to store valuables. Some of the rooms have a small balcony, which faces the main Street. The Wi-Fi does not really reach the rooms and there are charging stations close to the beds.
The bathroom includes a cold shower with decent water pressure. The bathrooms are clean and there is one communal bathroom on the ground floor to use. There isn't a hook for clothes, but there is room to put them around the sink.
Common Spaces
The hostel's second floor has a balcony, which looks onto the courtyard below and has some ok views of Jardin. There is a kitchen in a large, open-plan room on the ground floor that has good facilities. Breakfast is served in the kitchen in the morning and guests can use it to cook lunch and dinner for the rest of the day.
There is a sofa area with a TV at the very front of the hostel that is used for socialising and relaxing. The hostel doesn't have an overly social atmosphere, but is friendly as it's quite small. It's easy to meet people in the common spaces, but these are not very crowded in the evening. The hostel is generally quiet, and guests leave the hostel to socialise.
Summary
Sgt Pepper's Hostel is a very central and cosy hostel, which is a great spot to relax after exploring Jardin. It doesn't have a very lively atmosphere, but is friendly and it is possible to meet other travelers there.
