Zostel Manali is located in the historic Old Manali neighborhood tucked into the Himalayan Mountains. The vistas from Zostel Manali are spectacular and snow can be seen on the mountain tops even in June! Zostel Manali is a part of the respected Zostel backpackers hostel chain. Unfortunately, the staff at Zostel Manali do not live up to the Zostel expectations of hospitality, and refused to help guests with booking buses, trains, or even local rickshaws.
The Location
Zostel Manali is located in the neighborhood of Old Manali, which is the ideal place to stay while visiting Manali. Zostel Manali can be a bit complicated to find, as it is tucked inside a few farms in the village part of town. Ask your rickshaw driver to drop you at the exact path you need to walk down in order to reach Zostel Manali, otherwise you will get lost, as the Google Maps location is incorrect. Once you've found the right path, you will not get lost again. The bus station is only three kilometers from Zostel Manali but the journey by tuk tuk can take up to forty-five minutes due to heavy traffic within the two-lane town. Zostel Manali has an in-house cafe but is also located near many great international and Indian restaurants. There are even many health food options nearby.
Rooms and Bathrooms
Zostel Manali offers an assortment of dorm rooms. Some bunk bed dorms are only for women, while others are mixed gender. All rooms have en suite bathrooms including toilets and showers. The water pressure is not very strong and the water is cold. The dorm room door does not have a lock, but there are lockers underneath the beds to secure valuable belongings. The property at Zostel Manali is cleaned each day, making the facilities very comfortable.
Common Spaces
The common spaces at Zostel Manali include the large outdoor garden where the reception and the cafe can be found. On each level of the building at Zostel Manali, there are also some seating areas where guests can mingle and relax. Guests may ask to use the cafe kitchen if they'd like to cook. Overall, the vibe is really tranquil, not the typical Zostel party, due to the serene settings. There is a great mix of foreign and national travelers so you are certain to meet someone interesting!

• Located in Old Manali, which is at a distance of 3kms from the very popular Manali Town, Zostel Manali can be reached easily by road by taking in a taxi or a tuk-tuk from Manali.
• Upon reaching Old Manali, at the main Old Manali Road, also known as Manu Temple Road, the property is 200m away from the extremely popular Drifters' cafe. Those traveling by private vehicles can park their cars too at the parking close to the cafe. We would be absolutely glad to guide you from the same place, so don't hesitate in giving us a call.
• Or even simply, take the right lane down next to cafe Bean and Gone and in 200m which would include passing by a volleyball court and village scenes, you'll reach us - Zostel Manali.
