Hostel Easy, Pisa

Hostel Easy Pisa is a tiny hostel in Pisa, Italy. There are only two rooms for guests -- a dorm and a private room. The owner lives in the same building and is very hospitable. Due to the size and the contact with the owner, it may feel as much as staying at an Airbnb as in a hostel.

The Location

Hostel Easy Pisa is located halfway between the airport and the railway station -- both are only ten minutes on foot. The hostel is located in a quiet neighbourhood with not much to do in the evening. There is a supermarket two minutes away from the hostel. Hostel Easy Pisa is well located for those with an early-morning flight or a late arrival (although check-in finishes at 11 p.m.). Even though the hostel is not located in Pisa’s city centre, all places of interest are in walking distance. The place that is the furthest from the hostel -- the Leaning Tower -- is thirty minutes by foot.

Rooms and Bathrooms

The dorm room contains six beds. The facilities are quite basic, but the room is spacious. There are not enough plugs for all guests and there is not much in the room apart from the beds. However, there are big lockers in which to stow your bags.

The hostel has only one bathroom and showers can only be taken until 9 a.m. -- so look out for queues in the morning. The hostel has a daily lockout between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. -- this is not uncommon for Pisa hostels, but it's surely uncomfortable if you would like to stay for more than one night. You should also be aware that the hostel has no baggage room and leaving your bags for the day after check-out is not possible.

Common Spaces

Hostel Easy Pisa has a small common room where you can sit down. Of course you can talk to fellow travellers here, but there is not too much of a social vibe. If the owner is near, however, he will always have a small chat with you. There is a small kitchen attached to the common room, where you can prepare something.

Hostel Easy Pisa has a personal vibe and is ideally located between the railway station and airport. The lockout makes it less interesting to stay for more than one night. Pisa can be easily seen in one day anyway, so you may want to book for one night and consider staying in another city in Tuscany for the rest of the days you will be in the region.
