Location and Contact

Location

• If you are arriving from Santo Domingo or Sanchez (ie if arriving from Puerto Plata or Cabarete), you will arrive at bus stops at the north of town. A taxi to the hostel will cost 200 pesos or a mototaxi (motoconcho) will cost 50 pesos per person and an extra 50 pesos for heavy luggage. Traffic is slow moving in town and motorbikes are the main method of transport for locals and tourists, but be aware that they do not provide helmets and make sure not to burn your leg if it is your first time on a bike.
• You can walk from the SD and Sanchez bus stops. Take the road heading north towards the beach. The main road consists of two parallel one-way streets. Keep to the street on the right-hand side as you head towards the beach with the traffic going in the same direction as you. After around a 15-20 minute walk you will see Plaza Kanesh on the left hand side with a bakery called Pan de Antes. Opposite the bakery is a small passageway and a sign for the hostel (in our pictures). Enter the passage-way and cross the bridge and you will see the hostel.
• If you are arriving from Samana (for those arriving from Las Galeras) the guagua drives around town so you can ask for Plaza Kanesh and get off there. Dan and Manty's is just opposite Pan de Antes down an alleyway.
