Hostal Alto Verde Jujuy is a quiet and small hostel in a suburban area with good Wi-Fi.
The Location
The hostel is in a safe and quiet neighbourhood, but unfortunately isn't located very centrally downtown. It will take about fifteen to twenty minutes to walk to the main downtown area. There is a bus that stops out the front of the hostel, number forty-six, that services the new bus terminal, so if you arrive here it is fairly easy to take public transport. If not, and you arrive at the old terminal, it is suggested to take a taxi, which isn't too expensive to get there.
Rooms and Bathrooms
The rooms are small and cozy. The beds are comfortable enough to sleep in and there are lockers provided to store your valuables provided you have your own lock. They are medium sized and don't fit large backpacks, but are sufficient for valuables.
There is one bathroom for all of the dorm rooms and this also included toilet and shower in same room. This means that at busy times you may be waiting for the toilet. The hot water is good and the shower is decent. They keep the bathroom well cleaned during the stay.
Common Spaces
The hostel has a large living area which includes tables and chairs for dining, which is where they also serve in the mornings a free breakfast of a couple of bread rolls and some tea and coffee. They also have a lounge area here with couches and arm chairs with a television. There is a hostel laptop that's also free to use if you need access to the Internet and don't have your own device. The Wi-Fi here is also quite good.
There is a kitchen that you can use that is decent sized and it is moderately equipped with utensils. This also leads on to a patio area out back where you can sit outside.
Summary
The staff here are friendly and helpful and full of information if you ask them. They are usually just about in the hostel with Canela the cat, who is super friendly. Upon arrival there is a doorbell to get the attention of staff, but they will also give you a key so you can access the front door if you require. This is a good hostel to stay in to explore the city of Jujuy.

Location
• If you come from the airport you can reach the city is by taxi ( the cost is about 300 pesos) or by bus (the cost is about 100 pesos per person). Once you are in the city center or at the terminal, you can take the bus 46 which brings in front of the hostal.
• By car, you just, have to get from the road 9, and go to Ciudad de Nieva.
