La Brisa Tranquila is a beach sanctuary located minutes from Tyrona Park.
The Location
La Brisa Tranquila is located about an hour east of the city of Santa Marta. Getting there is fairly easy and cheap using a bus that leaves the public market in downtown Santa Marta. If you have three or four people in your party, splitting a taxi could do the job and the ride would be a little bit more comfortable. After getting dropped off on the main road, a motorcycle/shuttle ride is required to get to the hostel, unless you want to walk about thirty minutes to get to the main door.
It is also about ten minutes' drive from Tyrona Park, which is one of the most popular attractions around. There are many other hostels at walking distance where you can go to grab drinks.
Rooms and Bathrooms
The rooms and bathrooms are in normal, clean condition. Since this is a beach hostel, people walk around with a lot of sand on their feet and bring a lot of it inside the dorms and bathroom area. The beds are pretty clean and come equipped with a mosquito net for extra protection. There are many electric plugs around the room for everyone to be able to charge their devices. Each bed has its own fan if ever it gets too hot. Each client also has their own working locker to store personal items.
There is a bathroom and shower in the dorm, and also a few common private bathrooms and showers that people can use if their bedroom one is busy, which makes it easier.
Common Spaces
The common spaces are very nice at this hostel, since it is literally on the beach. There is a restaurant and bar that is open late and has happy hour two-for-one drinks specials three times a day. The food menu is pretty extensive and offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There is a very nice patio area, once again right on the beach, which makes it the best place to eat! There are hammocks right on the beach and a few other places for clients to relax and enjoy a cold beer with an awesome view of the Caribbean Sea.

La Brisa Tranquila is located ocean front on an old coconut farm, at one of the most amazing beaches found along the Caribbean coastline. Surrounded by palm trees and jungle! For those wishing to do some adventure, we are located only 5km. from Tayrona National Park as well as Mendihuaca and Valencia falls.

To get to La Brisa Tranquila you have to take the local bus in Santa Marta, Carrera 9 with Calle 11. You should tell the bus driver to drop you off at Costeño Beach (a neighboring hostel), since this place is familiar to all bus drivers. They will drop you off at the entrance and you can walk 10 min towards the beach, and then make a right where our sign indicates and continue another 20 min along the edge of the jungle. We are located 200mts past Costeño Beach. You can also take a moto-taxi from the bus stop to the hostel which will cost 3 mil.
