Buzzas Boutique Backpackers is probably the most chilled place you will find in Pai! A huge courtyard, hammocks, bamboo huts, impressive wall paintings, and yoga classes held on a donation-only basis ensure that you have a relaxing time in this beautiful natural setting. Moreover, if you stay for three nights, you get the fourth for free!
The Location
Buzzas is situated in probably the most perfect spot in Pai! Overlooking a huge field with incredible views on one side and the mountains with the Giant Buddha Statue on the other, it is in a convenient distance from the central bridge and the Walking Street with its night market. However, it is also close to the start of some hikes and you can reach the Karen Long Neck tribe’s village in about half an hour from here on foot as well! For those who prefer getting around on a motorbike, however, it is good news that they can rent one here and there is a mini petrol station right in front of the hostel!
Rooms and Bathrooms
Although the hostel itself is great, the rooms are pretty basic. They have individual beds, mostly only four per room, but these are incredibly hard and only cooled by fans. Worst of all, there are only two electronic plugs in the entire room, which are normally both used for the fans, therefore leaving no place to charge your phone or other electronic devices. Each dorm has one bathroom attached, which has the shower and toilet. However, the smell coming from the toilet is pretty gross and everything inside is old and not too comfortable. Moreover, the doors do not lock so you will have to push something against them.
Common Spaces
The hostel has an really nice inner courtyard and garden that has a number of gazebos and bamboo huts where you can sit and relax. Unlike the rooms, these all have plenty of electronic plugs. The area of the reception offers some wooden dining tables and a mini bar where they can make you some juice from seasonal fruits. Every afternoon at 5 p.m. there is a yoga class at the hostel that you are welcome to attend and are only asked for a small donation for it.
Summary
Buzzas Boutique Backpackers is a great place to stay if you will only use your room for sleeping and will hang out in the common areas most of the time. Otherwise, maybe you want to look for another place, as the rooms are definitely not the most comfortable you will find around!

Location
We are located less than 1km from the bus stop, just over the concrete bridge crossing the Pai river. To get to us, take a left out of the bus station, along walking street, until you see a right hand turn. Walk down this road until the T junction, taking a left you will cross the concrete bridge. Continue walking to see three roads on your left after Don't Cry bar, the third one is the driveway to Buzzas@PaiChan. Look out for the round bee logo to know you are in the right place!
