A perfect blend of chill and party makes ChiChi Babylone Backpacker hostel a great place for travelers to enjoy Montañita. Though it is relatively small, it's not overcrowded; despite not being right in the center of the nightlife, there is always something going on here and everything you need is a short walk away.

The Location

You will find ChiChi Babylone Backpacker hostel across the bridge on the edge on Montañita, just a short distance from all the discotecas, eateries, and the beach. Montañita is a small town, so everything is within a short distance and in close proximity to the beach. Since it is on the edge of the town, it is slightly less crowded and quieter than the center, but still very accessible to everything including the bus stations. The huge sign on the other side of the bridge makes this hostel impossible to miss.

Rooms and Bathrooms

A relatively small hostel, ChiChi Babylone Backpacker contains about five separate rooms of mostly dormitory-style bunk beds. The rooms are adequate but slightly small, and contain good-sized lockers for all your valuables. The beds are comfortable and come with large mosquito nets that cover the whole bed. There is only one outlet in some of the rooms. There are two shared bathrooms near the common areas; the place could use one more bathroom.

Common Spaces

There is really only one large common area in the center of the hostel by the entrance at ChiChi Babylone Backpacker hostel. However, it is perfect size for the number of people and ensures there are always people hanging out there with something going on. The first thing you notice is the extra-large hammock by the entrance, which can hold a few people. There is also a few other, smaller hammocks further back great for lounging near the dining area. There is a big table in the center surrounded by benches where there are usually people eating and socializing. Next to this table are some cool swing sweats and a couch facing the television. Near this large common area is a very large kitchen, which provides plenty of room and supplies for cooking.

Summary

ChiChi Babylone Backpacker hostel provides a great mix of partying, socializing, and just chilling. It's a very good place to meet people, as there are usually games and stuff going on here at night, and the perfect place for people looking to enjoy Montañita without being right next to the loud music of the clubs and bars. It's also a great place for the price.

From the bus station: walk along the main road “Ruta del Spondylus” toward the north. About 200 meters you will see a river, cross the bridge then turn left toward the beach, we are the first property on your right side.
