Hostel Ivory Tower has a very spacious setup and a dull, simple appearance in a very good, central location. You enter from the alley to they side of the restaurant and it encompasses the two floors above it. Walking up the staircase, it is not clear which door to enter, so we entered the (first) door, with the Wi-Fi sticker; this is indeed the correct door and brings you to the reception desk. On this floor are most facilities and two four-bed rooms. Going back to the staircase and moving up a flight of stairs, there are two more rooms and a bathroom.
The Location
This hostel is located just a few blocks west from Serdika station above an Italian restaurant. The hostel is well indicated with banners; it's easy to find. The central location makes it so that everything is within walking distance.
Rooms and Bathrooms
The hostel only has rooms with single beds (no bunk beds) and is also spaciously furnished, making it a bit more private than other hostels. Beds are not the best but are manageable; we found the linen to be too small for the beds, which proved to disturb the night's rest somewhat. Power outlets next to the beds are welcomed! Everything is very clean, though cleaning in places out of sight (behind the bed) might not be done just as often. The dorm room even has a clothes rack.
The bathroom on the second floor is really nice -- it's good and spacious. The downside is that there is nothing to keep the water from going everywhere. As the toilet is behind the shower area, once the shower has been used, you’ll need to go through the water to go to the toilet. But, there are also two more toilets downstairs (and a bathroom).
Common Spaces
Though the hostel has a rather spacious living area, it is not a very social place. But the spacious setting and small amount of beds per room make this hostel a perfect choice if you are looking for a more private place to stay or need a good shower after doing one of the many outdoor activities Bulgaria has to offer. Just don't expect to party or socialise too much. No breakfast is served, but the kitchen is well equipped and a supermarket is close by.
Summary
The hostel is run by a single receptionist who operates the door, though it is possible to get a key if you plan to come back late. This is the perfect place to stay if you want to be a bit more private, but still be in a hostel dorm (and the well-equipped kitchen just adds to this).

Location
• From Central rail station
• Walking:
• - 25 minutes
• Take 'Maria Luisa' blvd, in 5 minutes you will cross a bridge called Lions bridge at ,Slivnitsa ,blvd.
• Keep walking straight and stop at the intersection called 'Saint Sofia' square,then keep walking on your. You will see a big building with a sign UnicreditBulbank pass along and continue on Todor Alexandrov blvd.
• At the 3rd cross turn left and you will see a Gunstore. Right after the store you will see inner court and there is a metal door with a Guest House sign on it. Ring the bell, we will open the door for you.
• By public transport:
• - 5 minutes ride.
• Take the Subway for one station to Serdika 1.Take TodorAlexandrov blvd.Exit you will see the sign ,Kniaz Boris, str. Keep walking on the left sidewalk. On t he next juncture you will see a mark Samuil str. Turn left along the Gunstore and you will see the mark Ivory Tower Hostel.
• By taxi:
• You can find cheap taxis in front of the MAIN entrance of the bus station only - it is 100m to the left from the train station.
• Distance to the hostel: 1.0 km, an honest fare is 0,80 Lv/km (written on a sticker on the cab window). The total fare should be no more than 5 leva.
• From the International bus station
• It is just next to the Central railway station so use the directions given above
• From the Airport
• You can use our pick-up service. Write us an e-mail with your flight number together with the expected arrival time.
• For the pick-up we charge additional 15 Leva (10 Euro) during the day and 25 Leva (15 Euro)during the night
• By Subway:
• Take the train to Serdika 1 station then take the exit to

• Go to the desk of 'OK Taxi' at the terminal and request a cab to our address. The distance to the hostel is15 km, honest fare is around 15 Lv (7.5 euro).
