• The main ferry crosses to Mull from Oban, about 3 hours' drive North of Glasgow - see www.calmac.co.uk.
• By public transport, leave Glasgow by rail (03457 484950) or bus (0871 266 3333) at about 12.00, ferry (01680 340258) at 16.00 from Oban, arrive Mull 16.46; back by the 10.55 ferry, arrive Glasgow 15.45. Please check these times before travel.
• From the ferry, left on the A849 to Iona. After 400 metres, left again opposite the church and follow the campsite signs out to Reception beside the sea - 800 metres in all. Ordnance Survey map 49 map ref 724369
