Trossachs Backpackers Hostel is hardly a hostel when you consider the number of quality rooms, facilities, and its superb location. It's no wonder they call it the "Poshtel."
The owners, Mark and Janet, are very welcoming and have opened up their eight-acre property to guests of all kinds. It's just outside Callander in Perthshire in the Trossachs, area giving you fabulous access to some of Scotland's best scenery. You can day-trip to places like Loch Katrin or Stirling or use their on-site cycling centre to rent a bike and head out. In fact, the hostel is one mile from the eastern end of Loch Venacher and Callander is just one mile from the SUSTRANS National Cycle Route.
Rooms and Bathrooms
The hostel can accommodate up to thirty people, including eight-bed dormitories and four-bed family rooms. Each has ensuite facilities.
There's a common dining room and a fabulous kitchen that's well decked out. And a continental breakfast is provided every morning, plus you can help yourself to tea and coffee through the day. There's also free Wi-Fi access. You can also watch television in the spacious lounge room and enjoy the fabulous lawns and the wonderful homestead-style buildings.
Trossachs is very much a home where you can come and go as you please.
