10 Coins Hostel Sofia is located a bit away from the city centre in a dull, residential area. This hostel offers a quiet retreat outside of the centre. Guest can socialise and enjoy themselves in the small front garden. A supermarket and the metro are less than a five-minute walk away. The metro takes you to the city centre with only four stops.
The Location
Though located away from the city centre, it is very easily reached by public transport; the metro is close by and only a few stops from the train and bus station and a few more to the city centre. It is also close to a big supermarket and some eateries, which are generally cheaper than downtown.
Rooms and Bathrooms
Though it is quite a big hostel with two stories, it still has a homey feel. The mattress on the bed is quite thin and the springs can be felt through it. A lamp and two power outlets per bed is a nice amenity. All facilities are reasonably clean; some knobs of the water tab do come off, but it still works, yet is still rather annoying. Some quick fixes on this could fix some annoyances.
The bathroom is good and big; it's a shame that this includes the toilet. Thus, if the shower is occupied, you’ll have to find a toilet on another floor or vice versa.
Common Spaces
There is a very small kitchen on the base floor with basic equipment. Here you’ll also find couches. The first floor has a slightly larger kitchen and table for dining. Most socialising, though, if weather permits, it is likely to be outside in the courtyard, which is set up with some chairs, a table, and parasol -- it's nice for a few drinks in the evening.
Summary
This is a cheap hostel with good facilities; it's the probably cheapest in town. On the downside, you'll need to take the metro to get to the city centre and back, or prepare for a boring walk as it is not an especially nice or fun area to walk. The beds are also not the most comfortable. So if you do not mind that, you're golden here, otherwise you might want to spent slightly more on a hostel closer to the hustle and bustle of the city centre.

Welcome to our cosy 10 COINS Hostel in a splendid city of Sofia (Bulgaria). We are a couple Nick and Julia invite You to stay in a calm and quiet district of the capital of Bulgaria. In our Hostel You will get everything needed for comfortable stay: clean and spacious rooms, cosy beds, fresh bedclothes and a towel. All these You can get only for 10 Euro Coins. That's why we called our guest house 10 COINS. Every floor of our house is equipped with a kitchen and a bathroom. Hot water is 24 hours a day. In the kitchen you can always get free tea, coffee and cookies. Everywhere in the house You can use free Wi-Fi. If you travel by car, motorcycle, bicycle or horse You can leave your vehicle in our garage. In summer season we will be glad to provide you with a bicycle - the main cycling route of Sofia is just near our house. If there is necessity we can meet You at the airport or railway station in Sofia and organize a transfer to any place of Bulgaria. We also organize unique and interesting excursions to the most wonderful places of Bulgaria You cannot get any information about in your guide-book.

Suitable location of our Hostel that is near the park provides You with really comfortable atmosphere. The main cycling route of Sofia is just near our Hostel. There is a shopping center, Billa supermarket, open market, a few cafes with local cuisine. Metro station HAN KUBRAT (only 3 min walk) gives You possibility to get to the heart of Sofia very fast - 3 metro stops (10 min ride). Central Bus and Railway Stations are only in 2 metro stops (7 min ride).
