Elefanti hostel takes place in the art and music rooms of a palace that dates back to the 1600s. The baroque architecture style will amaze you as the delicious food from our kitchen fills your stomach.
At Elefanti Catania Hostel you will find 25 beds, divided into 4 large rooms (from 2 to 10 beds) with air conditioning, heating and balconies that overlook the beautiful historic center with its beautiful plazas. The rooms are spacious with a lot of natural lighting and furnished with wooden desks, tables, chairs and lockers. Our bunk beds are extremely comfortable and have individual curtains for your privacy. We offer clean linens and rooms are cleaned everyday for you convenience.

Location
• It’s extremely easy to get to the Ostello degli Elefanti.
• From the train and bus stations:
• The hostel is 1.3km or 16 minutes by foot from the train and bus stations. Follow the via VI Aprile towards the piazza dei Martiri. Once you’re in the piazza turn right and follow the via Vittorio Emanuele II until you arrive at the piazza Duomo. Then turn to your right for the via Etnea – we are number 28 on this road, the first palace on the right.
• There are so many buses from the station which pass us by - it’s child’s play to find us by asking for the piazza Duomo.
• From Catania Airport:
• Catania Airport is only 4.9km from our youth hostel. The hostel is easily reachable by city buses – you can take the 524, get off at piazza Borsellino, and continue to the piazza Duomo and you will find our hostel in a few minutes. Or you can take the more frequent airport shuttle bus 457 which arrives in the city centre every 20 minutes, get off in via Dusmet and follow the signs for where the piazza Duomo joins the via Etnea – we’re number 28 on the via Etnea. The last bus is at midnight, so if you arrive after or before this time and need a shuttle bus, we can provide one at a fixed rate if you contact us.
• From Catania Port:
• The port is right in the centre of our city and it is extremely easy to arrive at the hostel, which is only 700m away. All you have to do is follow the signs for the piazza Duomo – we are at the start of the via Etnea at number 28.
• From Comiso Airport:
• Comiso Airport is only 1h 15m from Catania. Details of how to arrive by public transport.
• By Car
• If you are coming by car we recommend using google maps. It’s worth bearing in mind that you have to pay for parking every day 'excluding Sundays and holidays' from 8am to 1pm and from 4pm to 8pm at €0.75 p/h in the whole area around the hostel.
