The Location
The hostel is situated in Bambalapitiya in Colombo. While none of the major tourist attractions can be accessed by walking, most of them are only a short tuk-tuk or a bus ride away. The bus stop is right in front of the hostel. There are many restaurants nearby, including small, cheap bakeries. Majestic City Shopping Mall is only a five-minute walk away. To get to the hostel, you can take a tuk-tuk from Colombo Fort Railway Station or Colombo Central Bus Stand. If you are coming directly from the airport, contact the hostel to arrange a pickup.
Rooms and Bathrooms
The hostel is one of the oldest hostels in the city. While it is cleaned thrice or more times a day, some washroom walls are worn out. There are three four-bed dormitories and three six-bed dormitories on the second floor with a shared washroom featuring a few shower cubicles. Free linen and towels are provided to every guest. There are individual safety lockers and a reading light, and power points for each bed. All the rooms are air-conditioned throughout the day. Hot water is available at the property during the entire day. Private double rooms are situated on the first floor with en suite bathrooms.
Common Spaces
Clock Inn Colombo has a large common space. The lounge is air-conditioned, quirky, and has a welcoming vibe. Outside guests are allowed until 10 p.m. at the hostel. The hostel also has a balcony, which is also a smoking zone. Breakfast -- which includes eggs of your choice, sausages, toast with jam and butter, fresh fruit, and cornflakes -- is included in your room price. Free tea/coffee and water refills are available throughout the day. The reception features a map of the city, tourist info, a book exchange, and a collection of DVDs. At the hostel, guests can get their laundry done for a small fee.
Summary
This is a fabulous hostel at which to stay if you are traveling in Colombo for a few days. The atmosphere, with a large communal area, is very welcoming. The hostel also organizers a few day tours and Sri Lankan food events. The air-conditioned rooms and communal areas throughout the day make it a comfortable stay in a hot and humid city like Colombo.

Clock Inn Colombo is located in the heart of Galle Road, Colombo; its approx. a 2 minute walk or a 5 minute tri-shaw ride from major tourist attractions,restaurants,& shopping areas in the City. The Indian Visa Office is just 15 minute walk.
The Inn consists of Beds, Dorms, & Private Rooms;& a well equipped lobby & lounge area to make your stay even more comfortable.

• The Inn is evidently famous for being in the City Centre, and a 1minute walk away from the scenic road- Marine Drive.
• Indian Visa Office is just round the corner and is a 5 minute walk. German Embassy/Consulate is a 5 minute walk as well.
• Bus Stop- across the street, Train Station- 5 Minute walk away.
• Major Restaurants, Shopping, and Entertainment spots are not more than a 2 minute walk away from the Inn. i.e. Majestic City(shopping,movie theaters,food court), Cricket Cafe (pub & cafe), Barefoot (restaurant, shopping), Paradise Road (shopping), Green Cabin (pastry shop), & Gallery Cafe (restaurant).
• By Taxi (from the Airport)- Inform the Taxi Driver to take you to Colombo. Once you are in Colombo you need to direct yourself to Bambalapitiya Junction (near Majestic City). From this junction make your way on Galle Road towards Colpetty. The Inn is located approximately 200 meters from the Bambalapitiya Junction onto your right hand side.
