Need a bit of improvement
Was there for only 2 nights. The room was spacious and comfortable and the hostel itself was located in walking distance to the center. They didn't assign the bed but just a room, which lead to a bit of confusion. The kitchen area for the guest was quite dirty but I think that's mostly because too many people are using it. It'll be great if they can add more washing machine as the only one that they got was fully utilized all the time. I had to use an outside laundry service after hearing one guest had to wait for 5 hours to use it but still without any success.
Huge, well-equipped hostel.
There are tons of rooms in this place, so it feels somewhat impersonal. That said, staff were friendly and spoke very good English, wifi was good, plenty of outlets in the rooms (one by each bed), comfortable beds, and my six bed dorm had its own bathroom, all of which was good. Location is decent, maybe a 20-25 minute walk to the Grote Markt/Grand Place. And it's close to a metro station. Breakfast is pretty standard, and not free.
If I could give this hostel more than five stars I would.
This was the best hostel I stayed at during my time in Europe. It's more like you ate staying at a hotel than a hostel. All the staff were very nice, the ruins are literally like rooms in a nice hotel except with bunk beds, and the laundry and kitchen faculties are excellent. Definitely stay here while you are in Brussels.
Good beds, bathrooms, and rooms; bad kitchen and check-in
Likes -- Good beds, clean bathrooms, good WiFi. Dislikes -- the kitchen was a war zone (constantly very dirty, far too small for the number of people); the hostel had a factory-like atmosphere due to its size, although it was easy to meet people in the end; and it took a very long time to check in and check out, as there were too few people working at reception. Would probably stay there again, all considered. Fairly easy to get to, but there were no grocery stores nearby.
It's a good and big hostel, with comfortable beds, clean and big bathrooms. Poor atmosphere and location could be better, breakfast not included. Overall recommended!
Modern, good value & friendly staff
I was impressed with this hostel. It's a modern place with large, clean dorms. It may cost a little more than other hostels but I still think it's good value. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Nice hostel, recommended
This was more like a hotel than a hostel to be honest, except for the dorm style rooms and community area. There's very little to complain about here, the kitchen is nice, the common area is nice, they have a bar and pool table, and a fridge you can purchase beverages out of. The staff are friendly, the rooms were clean. Really my only complaint was that it was a bit pricey, but considering the value it's really not overpriced. Good stay.
Lively, friendly and modern
Comfortable, modern rooms; everything seemed very new. Staff were very friendly, chatty and helpful. As a result of a change in plans ended up staying six nights, and they were happy to change our original booking so that we didn't have to change rooms too many times. Good breakfast consisting of cold meats, bread, cereal, tea, coffee, if a little pricey -- at least in my opinion -- at 6.
