Pop' Hostel is an excellent option for you to stay in Avignon. It offers the chance to meet other travelers, is located very centrally, and the friendly staff are ready to help you.
The Location
The hostel is located between the railway station and the Pope's Palace on one of the main streets of Avignon. You can hardly wish for a better starting point for exploring the city. You walk to the train station in about ten minutes and all the tourist attractions are in your immediate reach. The hostel sign is very visible and there is a small elevator in case you mind walking up the stairs to the hostel. The hostel is overall located on four floors of the building.
Rooms and Bathrooms
There is both the option of private and dorm rooms in this hostel. The dorm rooms reach from four to ten beds, which are bunk beds. Many of the beds (but not all) have a curtain and a power socket so you can have privacy and charge your equipment. Underneath each bed is a container for your valuables that you can lock. The ten-person dorm is packed with bunk beds, but because of the curtains on the beds you can still have some privacy. The single room is equipped with very basic but stylish furniture and you have enough space for your backpack or suitcase. The private rooms have their own bathrooms to them -- they are small but functional. The dorms have common showers and toilets -- which are very basic -- on every floor.
Common Spaces
The main area of the hostel is where the reception is located. You have PCs to use and a small library. The atmosphere is very cozy and you easily get in touch with other travelers while browsing the net, reading, or relaxing in the common area. You can get refreshments and snacks from the reception. The whole hostel is styled in a modern and clear but still cozy way. The hostel also offers breakfast, for which you must pay extra.

Summary
It is hard to find an affordable stay in Avignon and this hostel is an excellent option. Though it is not as cheap as hostels in other cities, it is good value for the money. The excellent location is normally not available in this price range.

• Excellent location for this Hostel in the centre situated in a beautiful 18th century building, right on the rue de la République in the heart of Avignon, at 500 m of the central station, 400 m of good parking facilities (Parking Jean Jaurès) and within 10 minutes walk of the historical sites of Avignon.
• From the central station: Walk out of station, through the city gates and onto rue de la République - you're there!
• From the TGV station: Take a bus to Avignon central station - follow instructions above!
• From Avignon airport: Take a bus to Pont St Bénezet, go through the city gates and walk toward the Palais des Papes, Place d'Horloge and then descend into the rue the la République - you're there!
