It was a treat staying here!
I love it here! I stayed here my first 3 nights when I arrived to Santiago, I liked it so much that I ended up staying another 3 nights. After going away for almost a week to Valparaiso and Viña del Mar, I decided to go back to this hostel when arriving to Santiago again. The staff was lovely, willing to make the extra effort the help you and make you feel "at home". The hostal is spacious and clean, cleaning lady came everyday and the toilets are very well kept. The beds are comfortable and you also have big lockers to put in your belongings. I would recommend this hostal to everyone that decides to go to Santiago.
One of the best hostels we've stayed in so far!

Hostel Chile Inn is a new hostel, situated in a renovated eighteenth-century building with three floors. Renovations have been tastefully done and care was clearly taken to create a stylish and modern look with sleek white walls and high ceilings, creating an airy and spacious feel. The Location The Chile Inn is located in Barrio Brazil, a bohemian enclave within walking distance of downtown Santiago. The neighbourhood is an eclectic mix of grand mansions and cobbled streets, and a growing artist presence, and it’s very safe to wander on foot. Opportunities to entertain yourself after dark abound, from swanky restaurants to hip cafes and cocktail bars, with a few hippie-inspired hangouts thrown in. The hostel is very easy to find, located just a block away from the Cumming metro station. You also have the option of walking north about eight blocks from Republica metro station, on the same line as the major bus terminals. So you can save on cab fare if you choose -- just hop on the clean, efficient, affordable Metro and you’ll be there in no time. Rooms and Bathrooms This hostel offers both private and dorm rooms, the latter having six bunks to a room. The website advertises lockers, but these are not located in the dorm room -- check with staff at the hostel. All rooms have door locks and plenty of space for everyone’s belongings even when fully occupied. Mattresses are comfortable and the bunk beds sturdy, with clean crisp sheets and a thick, brand-new comforter on each bed. There are no individual reading lights by the beds in the dorm rooms, but this did not present a problem for us as we hung out in the common area. Bathrooms are sparkling clean and new, and the spacious shower has a handy ledge for personal belongings and more than enough room. You also have the option of taking a bath in the deep tub. Water pressure is very good and the water as hot, as we like it! Common Spaces The sitting area/TV room has a large TV and DVD player, as well as a bookshelf. Comfortable leather couches appear new and the room is very airy with tall ceilings and lots of light. The kitchen is small but functional, and staff are very happy to offer you a cup of coffee. There is a large patio to enjoy when the weather is warm. The computer room offers free internet access, and free Wi-Fi is also available in the common areas (it did not work for us in the bedrooms). Staff/management are very friendly and helpful. it was very quiet when we were there, but we think that is because it had only recently opened. As the hostel becomes better known, traffic will likely increase. We think, though, that it will continue to offer an atmosphere that would appeal to travelers looking for serenity and relaxation, rather than a party atmosphere. If it’s twenty-four/seven carousing that you’re after, this probably isn’t the place for you. Summary Overall, this is a very safe, welcoming, and elegant hostel in one of Santiago’s hippest neighbourhoods. We expect the place will likely continue to improve as it becomes more established and better known.
