It would be nice to give Poc na Hostel five stars, as it is a fun and chill place to hang out, but unfortunately it calls itself a hostel rather than a hotel. You can't bring in outside alcohol (but there's a bar in-house), there's no kitchen or fridge for guest use (but there's an in-house restaurant), and quite a few of the facilities get taken over by locals/staff. If you are after a low-budget, all-inclusive resort, then this is the place.
The Location
This place has a nice location; the beach is just down the road, and a few blocks in the opposite direction is the main touristic street, which has an overwhelming variety of restaurants, bars, and souvenir stores. There are more options including convenience stores and a decent supermarket a few blocks further. The ferry dock is only a fifteen-minute walk that also doubles as a comprehensive tour of the town.
Rooms and Bathrooms
The potential population of this hostel is two hundred people, meaning every type of room conceivable is available. There are a lot of dorms, which generally have four sets of bunk beds with in-room lockers. Privates are available and vary in terms of number and types of beds, with or without air conditioning, en suite or not. Rooms are lockable with each guest receiving a key. Rooms are clean and there is plenty of space within them.
Showers and bathrooms are reasonably plentiful but varying in number depending on what part of the hostel you are staying in; there appear to be enough for all. Bathrooms and toilets are well-maintained and spacious with shelving on which items can be placed.
Common Spaces
Common spaces are excellent, as there is a breakfast dining/bar-room-type area; an adjacent spillover seating area/concert hall; games room with ping-pong (free), pool (not free), and a book exchange; and finally the beach bar/hammock area with a volleyball court. These are excellent places to meet other travelers, drink, party, sleep, and pretty much anything else you could want to do with the sound of the sea in your ears.
Bear in mind that at night there are a lot of activities going on, so if you want to find somewhere to just chill, you might end up in your room and in bed to avoid the racket. Ear plugs are recommended.

Located in Isla Mujeres, one of the top vacation destinations in Mexico, just north of Cancun, Poc Na Hostel is the only hostel on the Island, which means a blend of a low-cost lodging option and the perfect trip cocktail: a great place to relax, meet other travelers, and party in a paradise with amazing beaches and a variety of water sports.

• Getting to Isla Mujeres is easy. Just fly into Cancun airport. From there you take a mini bus, a taxi or a collective van and have the driver taking you to the Ferry Landing at Puerto Juarez, located 15 minutes north of downtown Cancun. The airport shuttles to Puerto Juarez located outside the baggage claim, are very reliable and reasonably priced costs (about US$9.50 per passenger). This is probably the most reasonable manner to get to Puerto Juarez, although you may be required to make a few stops. A taxi costs about US$40.00. It's about a 20-40 minute ride depending on how heavy the traffic is in Cancun. If you're feeling exploratory, you can take the public buses to the port. They're located across the street from the tourist shuttles and taxis. The cost is next very cheap, but you may spend a good deal of time getting there. Once you get to the ferry port, you take the ferry to Isla Mujeres. Express boats leave every half hour from 6am to 8:30 pm, and once at 11:30 pm and crossing takes about 20 minutes. At 35 pesos per person, this is without a doubt the fastest way to the island and is your best choice if you just can't wait.
• Right off the ferry pier on Isla Mujeres you just have to walk six blocks and you will find the Poc Na Hostel!
• Getting around: The best way to see the Island and become part of the scene is to rent a golf cart, moped or mountain bike. Take the road that rings the island and enjoy all the sights, including breathtaking views of the surrounding sea.
