"Kerteminde is an old fishing town which became a borough in 1413. This charming town in north-eastern Funen is beautifully situated by the Great Belt and estuary. The town and surrounding area are a paradise for touring cyclists, anglers, boating enthusiasts and all other nature lovers. DANHOSTEL Kerteminde was built in 1984 in the southern part of the town, pleasantly located in a green area, close to the Landsgård woods and a stone's throw from an excellent and child-friendly bathing beach (south beach). The harbour and cosy town environment are within walking distance."
