• From Krabi Town and Krabi Airport
• From Krabi bus station or airport, the easiest way to reach Tonsai is to take a tuk-tuk or taxi to Ao Nang Pier. Alternatively, there is a 40 minutes shuttle ride from the airport. From Ao Nang Pier, you can either charter your own longtail boat or wait for one to fill up. Once the boat has around 8-10 people, it will depart.
• From Ao Nang and Noppharat Thara Beach
• Longtail boats depart from Ao Nang and Noppharat Thara beaches only and stop at Tonsai first on their way to Railay – journey time is around 15 minutes.
• Boats depart as soon as there are enough people to fill them: in high season this means they run fairly frequently, but there can be waits during off-season or late at night. At very low tide, the service may stop temporarily. You can also charter your own boat to leave immediately.
• It is only possible to buy one way tickets to Tonsai from Ao Nang and Nopparat Thara. A return journey can be bought directly at Tonsai Beach.
