• How to get to Salento?
• From Bogota
• The fastest way is to fly to Armenia (1,5 Hours) or Pereira.
• If you book your flight in advance you´ll find offers between 30-50 US$. (May 2017).
• You can also take a bus daily during the day and night from Bogota to Armenia, it will take about 7-9 hours depending the bus company and the price is around 40.000 - 60.000 COP per person.We can recommend the bus company “Expreso Bolivariano” as they are very comfortable and good service provide.
• From Medellin
• Daily option available but the last direct bus from Medellin to Salento leaves at around 1 pm, and take about 6-7 hours.
• Costs: 45.000 COP.
• From Cali
• Daily option available from the Cali bus terminal to Armenia. The bus are normally leaving when they´re full. The drive takes about 3 to 4.5 hours.
• Costs 20.000 - 23.000 COP.
• From Armenia
• Airport: book a direct transport with one of our trustworthy drivers for 1 hour and cost 80.000 COP (Recommended after 7:30 pm)
• Or take a taxi to the bus station.
• From Armenia Bus Station:
• Bus leaves every 20 minutes to Salento. Costs 4,200 COP/person, Drive will take 1 hour. The last bus is at 8 pm. Get off the main plaza.
• Or book a direct transport with one of our trustworthy drivers for 1 hour and cost 80.000 COP.
• From Pereira
• Airport:Take a taxi to the Pereira bus station.
• Or book a private transport directly from the airport price min. 150.000 COP, prices may change.
• Bus Station:
• From Monday to Friday: 6:30 am, 8:40 am, 10:00 am, 11:40 am, 1:40 pm, 3:00 pm, 4:40 pm, 6:40 pm.
• On the weekends and on public holidays buses are leaving every hour from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm.
• Costs: 7,000 COP, the drive will take about 60-70 min.
• How to get from Salento center to Omoki Eco.hostal?
• Taxi /Jeep
• Recommended after 4:30 pm or if you travel with a lot of luggage.
• You can always take a public taxi from the main square (until 9/10 pm). Taxis are Jeeps, charges 35.000 COP per trip, not per person.
• Tell the driver to drive you to Omoki Eco Hostal, Vereda Palestina.
• If you know your time of arrival in Salento we´re happy to arrange a transport for you with one of our drivers , also after 10 pm.
• Shuttle
• There´s a public transport, jeeps that leaves every hour from the main plaza to the cafe tours. (shuttle hours from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm).Costs 3.000 COP/person, 15 minutes.
• Get off the shuttle about 300 meters after the restaurant of the neighbourhood Vereda Palestina. You´ll see a sign saying Omoki Eco. Hostal on the left hand side. Follow the sign and take the trail down to our hostel 250 meters.)
• Walk
• You can walk to our hostel. It is a save and scenic road and it´ll take about 50 minutes. Just follow the signs to the coffee tours. There´s just one road down, so it is easy to find. Pass by the coffee tours and the restaurant on the right hand side. Walk another 300 meters. You´ll see a sign saying Omoki eco.hostal on the left hand side. Follow the sign and take the trail down to our hostel, 250 meters.
• Car
• If you arrive with your own car, enter Salento. Pass by the firefighters (bomberos) and take the second street on the right. Follow the signs to the coffee tours. Pass by the cemetery and follow the road 3 kilometres(15 minutes) down to the coffee tours. Pass by the coffee tours (El Ocaso, Don Elias and La Arzacia) and follow the road (500 meters) until it makes a sharp right turn down. Take the street to the left and follow it 300 meters until the next street to the left. You´re almost there! It´s only 100 meters more to the hostel. It is at the end of that road.
• You can get to our hostel with a normal car.
• Please drive slowly and carefully. The road is not paved and has a lot of rocks. You can park your car in front of our hostel. No extra costs will be charged.
