• Location
• Dead Sea Adventure Hostel is located at 68 Odem street, Arad. we are only one and a half hours drive south from Tel Aviv, Jerusalem or Ben Gurion Airport or one and a half hours drive north from Ovda airport.
• Our hostel is only 25 min drive from the Dead Sea and Masada.
• Few facts about Public Transport in Israel:
• 1. In Buses you need to pay in cash directly to the driver when you are going on the bus. So be sure to have enough money ready for the drive.
• 2. Using the train, you need to buy a ticket before going up, in automatic machines or at the cashier in the station. You can pay with credit card or with cash.
• 3. Timetables are not very accurate (especially on buses) so we advise you to arrive to the station 5-10 min before scheduled departure.
• 4. There is no public transport (bus/ train) during the Shabbat (Friday afternoon till Saturday night).
• 5. On the train and on some of the buses you have free wifi.
• How to reach us By Bus\Train:
• From Jerusalem:
• Direct bus from no. 555 / 554 from Jerusalem to Arad. The bus leaves two streets away from Jerusalem central station, from the corner of Hatzvi and Yermiyahu streets. On week days, the bus leaves 3 times per day: at 2pm, 4pm and 6pm and the drive costs 31.5 NIS pp.
• Another way is to take bus no. 470 or 446 from Jerusalem central station to Be'er Sheva central station. The bus leaves approximately every 30
• min. From Be'er Sheva central station you should take bus no. 384, 386 or 388 to Arad.
• Take the train from Jerusalem to Be'er Sheva. The train leaves once an hour and the drive costs 35 NIS pp or 17.5 NIS if you are a student.
• From Be'er Sheva train station take a bus no. 384, 386 or 388 to Arad.
• From Tel Aviv:
• Direct bus no. 389 from Arlozorov terminal in Tel Aviv to Arad. On week days,the bus leaves 3 times per day: at 9am, 6pm and 8pm and the drive costs 34 NIS pp.
• The second bus from Arlozorov is no. 421. The bus leaves twice a day during weekdays, on 09:00 AM and 12:00 AM.
• Another way is to take bus no. 370 from Tel Aviv central station to Be'er Sheva central station. The bus leaves approximately every 30 min. From Be'er Sheva central station you should take bus no. 384, 386 or 388 to Arad.
• By Train:
• Take the train from Tel Aviv to Be'er Sheva. The train leaves approximately every 20 min and the drive costs 27 NIS pp or 13.5 NIS if you are a student.
• From Be'er Sheva train station take a bus no. 384, 386 or 388 to Arad.
• From Ben Gurion intl Airport:
• By Train/ Bus:
• Take the train to Tel Aviv and from there take a bus/ train to Arad (as described above).
• Once in Arad
• take bus number 1 or number 11 from the central station, and get off at the station named 'Odem/Mishmar'. You'll see our orange fence and a sign that reads ''Welcome Backpackers''.
• How to reach us By Car:
• From Jerusalem:
• Follow Route 1 and Route 3 to Route 6 (going south).
• Drive south on Route 6 for approx. 80 km.
• Take the exit to Arad (Route 31).
• Follow route 31. When you reach a T intersection turn right and immediately after left, to continue on route 31.
• Drive on route 31 until you enter Arad town.
• On the first roundabout take the third exit.
• On the second roundabout take the first exit.
• On the third roundabout take the second exit (going straight).
• On the forth roundabout take the first exit (going right).
• Take left on the third turn.
• Drive approx. 600 m and you will arrive.
• From Tel Aviv:
• Take Ayalon highway (route 20) going south.
• Drive south on Route 20 (that later combines into route 4) until you reach Ashdod.
• Take the exit to route 7 and later to route 6 going south.
• Drive south on Route 6 for approx. 80 km.
• Take the exit to Arad (Route 31).
• Follow route 31. When you reach a T intersection turn right and immediately after left, to continue on route 31.
• Drive on route 31 until you enter Arad town.
• On the first roundabout take the third exit.
• On the second roundabout take the first exit.
• On the third roundabout take the second exit (going straight).
• On the forth roundabout take the first exit (going right).
• Take left on the third turn.
• Drive approx. 600 m and you will arrive.
• From Ben Gurion intl Airport:
• Take route no.1 going towards Jerusalem.
• Follow Route 1 and Route 3 to Route 6 (going south).
• Drive south on Route 6 for approx. 80 km.
• Take the exit to Arad (Route 31).
• Follow route 31. When you reach a T intersection turn right and immediately after left, to continue on route 31.
• Drive on route 31 until you enter Arad town.

• Get on route no.90 and continue north for about 200 kilometers, until you get to ‘’Neve Zohar’’ junction.Once in Neve Zohar, turn left on route no.31 that will take directly to Arad.
• Drive on route 31 until you enter Arad town.
• On the first roundabout take the first exit.
• On the second roundabout take the first exit.
• On the third roundabout take the second exit (going straight).
• On the forth roundabout take the first exit (going right).
• Take left on the third turn.
• Drive approx. 600 m and you will arrive.
