• We advise that you inform us of your route and arrival time. You can request an airport pick-up which will save you time & money, enable you a stop for provisions or to change money. The cost for this service is twenty five dollars (1-4) passengers.
• DIRECTIONS:
• Cedar Ridge is located just 20 minutes (depending on traffic) from the International airport.
• However, if you wish to hire a car: CEDAR RIDGE is located just off the main road heading westerly towards Negril on a beautiful residential hillside area called BOGUE HILL.
• Driving: Turn right on exiting the airport (around the roundabout) keep on the main with the sea to your right at all times (either road top/water-front will do). You will arrive in town - KFC landmark KEEP RIGHT(. Drive through FOUR traffic lights then bear left at intersection by Scotia Bank turning unto Alice Eldemire Drive.
• Drive THROUGH ONE, traffic light ,then turn RIGHT into BOGUE ROAD.
• Drive through ONE traffic light, and at the SECOND, TURN LEFT at sign to GORDONS CROSSING.
• Thereafter, take SECOND RIGHT (a tiny road, with a low stone wall in the bend). DRIVE UP the hill (its winding and a bit bumpy, over a small bridge).
• TURN FIRST RIGHT at the sign, into CEDAR RIDGE. Drive all the way to the middle to the wooden gate with orange/yellow wall.
• PUBLIC Transportation in Jamaica is fairly easy:
• Around Montego Bay all public transportation is by ROUTE (shared) taxis. These vehicles are specially licensed - to travel a specified route for a fixed fee.
• They can be booked privately this is more expensive.
• These vehicles should have a RED PLATE.
• When traveling to the hostel by shared taxi - ask for the Bogue HILL. Bogue is a very big area.
• Montego Bay has many transports HUBS or BUS PARKS - all in the town centre. ALL ROUTE TAXI'S START AND FINISH AT THESE POINTS. You will be advised about which Bus Park will service your needs.
• BOGUE TAXI's can be found in or around THE MAIN BUS PARK IN THE TOWN.
