New Ing offers accommodation in 9 rooms from en suite B&B style to 8 bedded dorm. We have been called a hostel and a B&B and we think we are somewhere in between. Since 2008 New Ing has been run as a family/ brother run hostel offering clean, comfortable, homely, fun and most importantly cheap accommodation. Set in the Eden Valley, on the edge of the Lake District, only being minutes from the Howgills and the Pennines we are ideally set for exploring many fell ranges and quality local attractions.

• From the M6: Take junction 39 and follow signs for Shap (approximately 2 miles from the motorway junction). Travel through the village past the Co-op on your left and take a right turn directly after Simpsons garage, then take an immediate left up our driveway.
• A6 from the North: After entering Shap and passing over the railway bridge we are the 5th building on the left hand side, directly opposite the Bampton/Haweswater junction.
• A6 from the South: Travel through the Shap past the Co-op on your left and take a right turn directly after Simpsons garage, then take an immediate left up our driveway.
