• By Car.
• From the airport you would need to head South onto the main toll road towards Ciawi,Bogor.There are 3 tolls to be passed costing IDR21000 at the time of writing.
• Once off of the toll keep on the main road towards Cidabek for around 40 minutes until you come to a right turn indicated by a huge white water rafting sign.
• Take this mountain road for around an hour until you enter Pelabuhan Ratu town.Pass through the town and drive along the coastal road where you will see Sunset Plaza on the left after about 20mins of driving.
• By Taxi
• Transport by car from the airport costs around IDR900,000-IDR1,200,000
• By Bus
• From Jakarta
• The easiest way to reach Pelabuhan ratu is to take bus to Bogor first, you can take Jakarta-Bogor bus from Kampung Rambutan bus station, Pulo Gadung bus station or Tanjung Priok bus station(1 hour - IDR10,000-15,000), also there's a shuttle bus service (1.5 hour - IDR30,000) form Jakarta's Sukarno-Hatta Airport to Bogor that runs for around 20 hours a day. From Bogor's main bus station Baranangsiang bus station you should take bus to Pelabuhan Ratu. Air conditioned bus to Pelabuhan Ratu (4 hour - IDR25,000) only runs from morning to 17.00 PM. Non air conditioned bus (4 hour - IDR20,000) runs until 21.00 PM. the MGI bus is the most comfortable bus available, always choose air conditioned MGI bus if you want a more pleasurable journey.
• Another alternative is to take a bus from Jakarta to Sukabumi first (3hour - IDR15,000-20,000) . There is a regular A/C small bus from Lebak Bulus bus station to Sukabumi and a A/C bus from Pulogadung and Tanjung Priok also available. From Sukabumi there will be buses to Pelabuhan Ratu (2 hour - Rp.10,000-15,000). Also please see for A/C MGI bus for the best option (available until 17.00 PM).
• There's no direct service from Jakarta or Bandung - except private car rental. When returning to Jakarta from Pelabuhan Ratu bus station you may be offered to share a taxi or angkot to Cibadak village instead - if the price is reasonable (around IDR20,000/person), but be prepared as Cibadak is on the main Sukabumi - Bogor - Jakarta road, so there'll be many buses and shared taxis to Jakarta/Bogor passing by, and you'll save some time by not diverting east to Sukabumi.
• From Bandung,
• You can take the bus to Sukabumi first (3hour - IDR15,000-20,000).From Sukabumi there will be buses to Pelabuhan Ratu (2 hour - IDR10,000-15,000). Also please remember to choose for air conditioned MGI bus for the best option (serve until 17.00 PM).
• By Train
• There is no train to Pelabuhan Ratu.
• Whilst in Pealsbuhan Ratu
• Small cars can be used called 'Angkot' these run regularly everywhere and the cost IDR2000-IDR3000 depending on the distance your travelling.
• Please note you will have to pay slightly more for surfboards or large amounts of luggage.
