Our Story
In the Sierra nevada, overlooking the caribbean sea you can find us.

Welcome to our home, to our family. We run this place together, here each guest is always treated as a member as well.

We are more that just a hostel-restaurant-bar.
We are a family.

We are Margarita and Luis Fernando. And our goal here at Mirador is helping you make the most out of your experience in Minca.

It wont be only waterfalls or trekking in the jungle. When you get here you will discover a stunning view in our front yard, we will join you in the afternoon for some wine or beers.

Because once you get here you will find all you need as a backpacker but feeling as if you were at home.

• How to find us...
• Minca is 14km from the center of Santa Marta, up into the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. There are several ways of reaching us:
• - You can get a colectivo (shared taxi that leaves when full) from Calle 11 y Carrera 12 (near the market in Santa Marta) for $6000 COP.
• - A taxi from Santa Marta will cost you approximately $25,000 COP.
• - We can also pick you up from the airport for $55,000 COP, or from any address in Santa Marta for $35,000 COP.
• Once in Minca, we’re just 200 metres from the center of the village. Cross the bridge and take the little road that passes behind the Minca Café, following the signs to our hostel. Take the small path on the right. We’re at the top of the hill.
