• There are two ways to get to Raniban:
• By Boat and Trek
• Row (or be rowed) across the tranquil Lake Fewa from the heart of Lakeside, stopping at Taal Barahi Mandir - the lake Temple - for spiritual sustainancem if you wish.
• Then walk up the well maintained trail for 45 minutes to the World Peace Pagoda - stopping at one of the tea houses on the way if you need a break.
• Linger at the Pagoda for a while, learning about the significance of this active Buddhist stupa, and the stroll for 10 minutes along the ridge to the gates of Raniban.
• By Vehicle
• By taxi or private car from Lakeside, the bus park or the airport you pass through Damside and past Devi's Falls, following signs to the World Peace Pagoda, and to Raniban Retreat.
• After 10 minutes, reach the top parking & access to the Pagoda on your right. 50 metres further, on the left are the gates to Raniban and our private parking.
• By either route, the last few minutes are on foot - up 500 stone steps to a welcome drink on our terrace.
Sadly, this hostel has closed.
