Looking for hostels in the area of Positano? We made it easy for you and put all hostels near Positano in a group. Find all hostels in Amalfi Coast.

Positano is a beautiful seaside escape on the Amalfi Coast. To arrive at this idyllic coastal location, you can take a coach bus from Naples, Sorrento, or Salerno. Or, during the summer, you can take a ferry from either of the above locations. The ferries are a great way to arrive as you can see the beautiful surrounding areas on the peaceful boat ride over.

Positano is an affluent tourist destination, and as such there are few budget options for hostels in Positano, but those that exist are quality budget accommodations. Positano’s tourist area is very small, and most of the accommodation is found by walking up many stairs to top. Positano is built on the side of a cliff, and thus it is built vertically from the ocean up. If dropped off by bus it is very easy to find your hostel as the hostels are located near the bus stop. However, if dropped off by boat, you must walk up a lot of stairs to reach your hostel. You can be assured that once you arrive, the views at the top will be worth it!

Positano’s appeal is easy to see, it is striking when viewed from the boat. The houses and hotels are so colourful, improbably stacked one on top of another vertically up the cliff. There are also many beautiful flowers and vines everywhere, it shouts paradise. Like most destinations on the Amalfi Coast, the sights can be enjoyed by walking the winding paths along the coast. Many of the beaches require you to pay to enjoy them, however most offer a chair with umbrella and a drink. There are free beaches available if you know where to find them, or if you keep walking until you do! Although, most beaches in Positano do not have sand and are very rocky, so be prepared. You can stroll the streets and check out the local shops, rent a canoe or kayak and explore the pristine clear waters, or you can use Positano as a base to see the rest of the Amalfi Coast, such as Capri.

Don’t miss this town's charming appeal -- book your Positano hostel quickly to avoid disappointment! With limited budget options, make sure you book your Positano hostel in advance, especially during peak season!
