Raasay House Reviews

Description

Raasay House- a spectacular location for holidays, activities and special events
Description
Enjoy adventure, fun, wildlife and tranquility on one of Scotland's most beautiful and unspoilt islands.

Raasay House is situated on the beautiful inner hebridean island of Raasay which lies between the Isle of Skye and the Scottish mainland. This small island location feels magically remote yet is actually very accessible. The short ferry journey from Skye takes only 20 minutes and Inverness airport is just two and a half hours away by road.

Raasay House has been providing day activity sessions and holidays since 1984 and now following a complete renovation has a stunning range of accommodation to complete the package.

The island is a wildlife paradise. There are ample opportunities to spot both golden and sea eagles along with many other birds of prey, sea birds, dolphins, sea otters and red deer.

Raasay is long thin island, and much of the landscapes beauty lies in the fact that, whilst the island is the size of Manhattan, it boast only 150 permanent residents. Walking, exploring and mountain biking here is truly a unique “wilderness” experience!

Raasay House provides:

*Activities; Traditional Open Boat Sailing, Dinghy Sailing, Kayaking and Canadian Canoeing, Rock climbing & Abseiling, Archery, Coasteering, Gorge Walking plus activities suited for younger children. Raasay House provides excellent equipment and expert instruction which is recognised by appropriate governing bodies. All activities are AALA licensed and Raasay House is also rated a 4 Star Activity Centre by Visit Scotland.

*Licensed restaurant, cafe and bar with an outdoor terrace area overlooking the sea to the Cuillin mountains of Skye.

*Our range of Visit Scotland rated 4 Star Guest Accommodation covers every taste and budget. From our sea facing Deluxe rooms to our 'Hostel' style accommodation we have the perfect fit for each and every one of our broad family of guests.

*Raasay House also makes the ideal exclusive location for small weddings, celebrations or business functions.
