Description

Experience Local Culture and Nature with us!

Welcome to Hostel One66 - Hostel with a difference!

'After checking out all these drab little boring hostels yours was like a breath of fresh air!' - Fiona, Australia 11 Nov 04.

Stay a bit off the beaten track in our small (just 1 twin/double room and 10 dorm beds only), clean and cosy family hostel.

Visit the Nature Reserve nearby which will get you up close and personal with the LIZARD (see picture no. 3)

Visit the Frog, Koi, Goat, Dragon Fruit Farms etc nearby with a hop and off bus shuttle. check out www.kranjicountryside.com

Sorry no bar, no parties, just warm and friendly service!

Conveniently located :

(1) In the residential area and 1 min walk from Marsiling MRT station. - There is no better place to indulge in the local culture and going to places of interest in Singapore!

(2) A stone throw away from Singapore/Malaysia border and this makes us the best spot to stay if you are travelling overland in/out of Singapore to Malaysia.

(3) Direct bus to Senai Airport City lounge at Kota Raya Bus Terminal and Johore Bahru Railway station right at our door too!

(4) 10-minute taxi ride (about S$6) to tourist attractions - Singapore Zoological Gardens, Night Safari and Mandai Orchid Garden - Cheaper than taking Bus/MRT if you are travelling in two!

Opened on 27 March 2004 and we have won the praise of those who have stayed with us:

'On Yang! Thank you so very much for everything. We're so please we stayed an extra night so you could show us the wetlands reserve. It was beautiful and really made the end of our stay in Singapore special. We'll will never forget the monitor lizards (especially the massive one that was so close by!) and the koi … though I doubt I'll ever be brave enough to let one suck my fingers!!. Keep doing what you are doing Yang. This hostel is fabulous and your generosity and warmth are so refreshing-given how impersonal some hostels can be. We will miss you.' -- Phil and Bee, South west England(11 - 12 April 2005)

'Thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality here and your kindness. Wish we had more time to chat. It was relaxing place to stay @hostel 166 and so enjoyed the deco, clocks and atmosphere! Enjoyed the area too, the beautiful hill walk, gorgeous swimming pool and delicious meals downstairs. Will be recommending hostel 166 to everyone! And I'll be back! Thank you for taking care of my luggage. See you on the 21st. Warm regards,' ---- Teresa MacGregor , Cape Town, South Africa(13 - 14 December 2004)

'The unsuspicious tourist comes to your place expecting a hostel and what he gets is beyond expectations: Superb guiding, warm hospitality, a knowledgeable, devoted person or rather, a friend : Yang. Thanx for all the good times, See you again soon -- Krisztina, Hungary 19 Apr 04'
