Tamarindo Hostel Resort is clean, comfortable, and in a great location!
The Location
Tamarindo Resort Hostel is located right near the corner of the main street on the major diagonal. It is a two- to three-minute walk down the road to the beach, the public bus stop, the supermarket, and loads of different bars. You couldn't ask for a better location than this. When you arrive it can be a bit difficult to figure out where it is, as there are quite a few other businesses with their signs up. Look for the green building and a passageway that leads through into it.
Rooms and Bathrooms
The dorm room here is super spacious and there is plenty of room to fit you and your stuff. The beds are really comfortable, there is air conditioning in the room, and they also have lockers for secure storage of your valuables. In the room itself, there is a room with a sink and toilet on one side; on the other side, there is a shower with a curtain that you can pull across for privacy. The shower has an electric head to give a bit of hot water but it's not great, just enough to take the edge off the cold.
They have other showers and toilets on the upstairs level if you want to use these. The showers upstairs are cold water, but it's usually hot enough in Tamarindo that this isn't an issue. The bathrooms are relatively clean and there is an extra toilet in this bathroom too. The bathrooms upstairs are also one male and one female if you're concerned about the lack of privacy with the shower in the room.
Common Spaces
The two main common areas of the hostel are the upstairs area and the open-space area near the reception on the ground floor, which has a whole bunch of tables and chairs and the odd couch. Upstairs, there are several hammocks where you can lounge about, as well as some couches too. The views here are pretty good and you can often hear live music from the place next door at night in this area.
There is a fully equipped kitchen, which you can use to cook or prepare your own meals if you are on a budget.
Summary
This hostel is a really chilled out, relaxed, and clean place to enjoy the wonders of Tamarindo. We can't recommend it enough!

Location and Contact
Location
If you come by bus, just tell the driver to stop in front of BAC San Jose, we are located next to it, in Plaza Conchal #2, by car is the same, you can park right in front of the Paza where we are. You are going to see a drugstore in the front, then you walk inside of the corridor.
