How to go downtown? It won’t be a concern for our guests as Socket is located in the heart of the city! Any place you may want to go visit in Taipei is nearby. The 101 building, Raohe Night Market, Mira Living Mall, SYS Memorial Hall, Songshan Cultural Park, Linjing Night Market, Xinyi district, Sogo Dept., Eslite Bookstore, etc.- they all are reachable in 1-7 minutes. And it won’t take you more than 11 minutes to get to Ximending!
From TPE airport
By bus: Bus #5502 is the best choice to get here since it stops not even 100 meter away from Socket, and the fare is just NTD140.
Get off the bus at "Veterans Service Center” and head BACK to the BIG cross that bus just passed where you can find the Veterans Service Center (Starbucks on the other side) > Cross the street to the other side (not Starbucks side) > Keep walk straight down to 1st alley > Turn left into the alley > Socket was located at the end of left side of block (just right on the corner).
You can also take the Blue line MRT from Taipei Main Station to SYS Memorial Hall station. Once you get out of the metro, follow the exit 5 to get here (about 650 meters).
Turn right after walk out of the station > Go all the way down > Through the overpass > find “Lane13” ( the alley right before big cross) > Turn into lane 13 > Socket was located at the end of left side of block (just right on the corner).
By Car: We can pick you up with sedan (extra cost TWD1200).
By Taxi: It cost you about TWD12000~1500.
From TSA airport
We suggest you take the taxi from the airport to Socket since the fare is just about TWD100.
Note:
*Socket Hostel welcomes people between 20 and 35 years old; smoking not allowed; alcohol prohibited in the building,
*Check-in: 15:00-20:00 (3-8pm). (Check in/out time can be flexible sometimes)
•Although the reception usually closes at 20:00, we can wait for you a bit longer if your delay is due to a late flight. It is, however, necessary to keep us posted about your flight information a few days before arrival.
•If you plan to arrive earlier than 15:00 (3pm), we can keep your luggage until the check-in time but your room may not be ready to be occupied yet.
•The Stander Double room is much small then other private.
* General Cancellation Policy *
- Cancellations must be made at least 2 days before the arrival date, or 50% of the total price will be charge on your credit card.
- In case of a no-show, the total amount of the reservation (100%) will be charged on your credit card.
