• Arriving by Minivan from Thailand
• Ask the minivan driver to drop you off at Chulia Street. You will see 7-11 on the left hand side. Beside 7-11 is LOVE LANE on the left. Do not turn into this lane. Continue walking straight for about 1 minutes and you will see a small lane on the left. Walk into this lane. We are about 1 minute walk from the junction. Roommates Penang is located on your left, directly at the junction of Lorong Pasar.
• Arriving by Ferry from Langkawi Island
• When you arrive at the ferry terminal, walk towards the Victoria Clock Tower. At the clock tower, head towards 3 o- clock, and walk along Light Street. You will see a big park on the right. Walk till you see a big bank on the left called Bank Negara (National Bank). Then turn to the left into Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling (or also called Street of Harmony). You will see a Anglican Church on the right hand side. Keep on walking straight and you will see a famous Taoist Temple called ‘ Kuan Yin Teng’ or Goddess of Mercy Temple on your right hand side. You can recognize this temple as it will have plenty of joss sticks and incense burning on the temple grounds. Beside the temple is a small lane- DO NOT TURN HERE. You will see at the corner of that small lane are street stalls selling flowers.Continue walking about 50 meters and directly after the stalls selling flowers, you will see a lane on the right. Turn into this lane. Walk straight until the end which is a T Junction. Roommates Penang is directly at the intersection of the junction, on your left!
• Arriving from Airport
• Take RapidPenang bus no. 401 or 401E to Carnavon Street.
• Walk to Lebuh Chulia.
• Then, walk along Lebuh Chulia and look for 7-Eleven.
• If 7-Eleven is on your left, we are located on Lorong Chulia (Chulia Lane) which is the next road after Love Lane.
• Our guesthouse is only 1 minute walk from 7-Eleven (please refer to map above)
• From Butterworth Bus Terminal or Butterworth Train Terminal
• Take a ferry to Penang island. Ferry will cost you less than RM 1.50 and the ferry ride will take about 15 minutes. You will get to enjoy the scenic view of Penang Straits during the ferry ride.
• When you arrive on Penang Island. Walk towards the Weld Quay Jetty Bus Terminal. From there, there is a free hop on, hop off shuttle service. Ask the bus to stop near the St George Anglican Church. Then you will have to walk about 5 minutes to the Guesthouse.

• From Penang island Jetty Bus Terminal
• Take RapidPenang bus no. 101, 104, 201, 202, 203, 204, 206.
• To Lebuh Chulia bus stop (in front of 7-Eleven). Follow the map above to get to Roommates Penang.
• From Sungai Nibong Bus Terminal
• Take RapidPenang bus no. 401 , 301, 303 to Lebuh Chulia. Stop in front of 7-11 and then follow map to get to Roommates Penang.
• From KOMTAR Bus Terminal
• Take RapidPenang bus no. 101, 104, 201, 202, 203, 204, 206 to Lebuh Chulia. Stop in front of 7-11 and then follow map to get to Roommates Penang.
