Located in Graça, one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Lisbon, in front of the most fantastics viewpoints in Lisbon, Miradouro da Graça and inside a unique and exquisite palace from the 17th century, with an old well and typical portuguese hand painted tiles, Johnies Place will give you a unique experience of real Lisbon.
It's at walking distance to many interesting spots of Lisbon, like São Jorge Castle, Feira da Ladra (flea-market), three of the greatest viewpoints of the city : Miradouro da Graça, Senhora do Monte and Santa Luzia, etc. Nearby you also have a lot of bus stops and subway to all city directions, and the stop for the famous and rustic tram in the city, the 28 - locally known as "the yellow" - , just one minute walk from our front door.
It offers FREE WiFi access in all rooms and common areas.
A breakfast buffet is served daily and FREE for our private double rooms. Guests staying in our dorms can have it also for only 3€ per person.
Guests can enjoy free coffee and tea 24h a day.
All rooms and dorms have bed linen included in the rates. The private double rooms also have towels included, and our suite and deluxe rooms have a private bathroom with toiletries. Shared dorms have lockers for all the guests. All rooms have a fan and central heating.
This area is filled with restaurants with traditional Fado music, serving traditional Portuguese cuisine, also bakery's, pastries, supermarkets, pharmacies, etc.
Johnies Place offers entertainment to its guests, from foosball to quietly reading a book.

• Located next to Miradouro da Graça, the most amazing viewpoint in the entire city, you'll have a 2 min walk to Feira da Ladra, castle São Jorge and Alfama.
• Why not go out in the garden in front of the hostel and just feel Graça through its streets and the vibe you feel around. It’s simply amazing!

• From the Airport:
• From the airport you better take the subway (red line), change to the green line in “Alameda” and leave in "Martim Moniz". There pick up the bus 734 or the Tram E28 till the stop "Graça". When you leave the bus/tram follow the directions to "Miradouro" and "Igreja" and when you get to the garden with a fountain in the middle (2 minutes walking) the hostel is at your left side, next door of the restaurant "Jardim da Graça".
• From Train Station Santa Apolonia:
• Bus 734 goes directly to Graça. Follow the signs Igreja and Miradouro and when you get to a garden with a fountain in the middle, the hostel it’s in your left side, next door to the Restaurant “Jardim da Graça” (2 minutes walking).
• From Train Station Oriente:
• Catch the Metro (red line) to Alameda and change to the green line. Leave in Martim Moniz and there, in front of the big hotel, get the tram E28 till Graça. Follow the signs Igreja and Miradouro and when you get to a garden with a fountain in the middle, the hostel it’s in your left side, next door to the Restaurant “Jardim da Graça” (2 minutes walking).
• From Bus/Train Station Sete Rios:
• Catch the bus 726 till the last stop Sapadores. Then get in Rua da Graça until you found a sign that says “Igreja” and “Miradouro”. Follow this signs and when you get to a garden with a fountain in the middle, the hostel it’s in your left side, next door to the Restaurant “Jardim da Graça” (7 minutes walking).
• From Metro Baixa Chiado:
• Exit the metro station by the exit marked Largo do Chiado (you will go up four sets of escalators). Outside the metro is a stop with tram E28, take in and jump off at Graça. Walk up the small stairs in front of you. There you will see a school, pass it and take the corner to the left. Now you will have a church on the right side and a garden in front of you. We are just located on the left side of the garden, next door to the Restaurant “Jardim da Graça”.
