Located 500yards from the first sanddunes of the Moroccan Sahara, our hotel & observatory SaharaSky is a true desert-hotel built on a sandy surface of 100.000sq.ft.
Built in the local Casbah style - but based on a solid concrete structure - it offers 20 comfortable rooms and more than 40 beds.
All rooms are air-conditioned, with private bath and flat screen TV SAT (Astra & Hotbird)
With a view over the desert and the Dunes of Tinfou.
Thr restaurant offers Berber Food and the Bar is well stocked with Moroccan beer & quality red and white wines plus all brands of whisky, gin etc.
SPA: with whirlpool and finnish sauna is offered for private use of house guests.
The specialty is the observatory on the 500m² rooftop. 7 GPS telescopes state of the art are available to amateur astronomers. House guests are offered guided stargazing after dinner til midnight.
Excursions by 4x4 w/driver to the Chagaga Dunes or on dromadaire and w/bivouac overnight are organized by the hotel and charged on hotel bill with payment by credit cards.
Guided visits to Tamegroute (in 10 min. distance) with its underground village, potteries, arab. ancient library and tea with Abdullah, the Nomad's Chief are highlihts.
