Casa da Raposeira is located in the peaceful village of Raposeira – on the edge of the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentina Coast Natural Park - on the main road from Lagos to Sagres and between Algarve's South and West Coast.
The house is divided into 5 separate clean and comfortable spaces – 3 private rooms, 1 suite and 1 studio apartment. The guests enjoy complete freedom of access as the entry to each space is independent. The only common area is a beautiful interior patio.
The area is popular with independent travelers and surfers. Despite its lack of tourist amenities, it has a devoted fan-club. It is the least developed part of the Algarve partly because the Atlantic Ocean is pretty wild here, but also because development has been restricted by the Natural Park, which embraces most of the coastline. As a result, Raposeira still retain a fair amount of charm, enjoyed by the tourists who seek calm and quiet here far from the madding holiday crowds. The quiet streets exude a quiet, peaceful atmosphere, and the people are welcoming and friendly, especially if one tries to speak their language.
This beautiful coast with its dramatic cliffs is still unspoiled and there are some fantastic beaches - famous for surfing, fishing and bird-watching - that attract an alternative crowd, with plenty of beach parties and nude sunbathing.
